If I’m going to excercise then I want to look good doing it, or at least that is the thought process that ran through my mind as I walked into Abi & Joseph’s latest boutique. Wonderfully placed in the brand spanking-​new wing of Westfield Garden City, their active wear designs pop from the simple MDF board interior. From classic black to loud and vibrant prints — fashionable fitness wear is at your finger tips.
Between friends, walking into a store such as this can often be intimidating but the retail assistant on the floor today was warm and friendly, without being pushy. Left to my own devices to scope the store for what it was I was after, she was then beyond helpful when I needed an additional size. In the words of Golidlocks, it was just right!
Granted, these aren’t the prices for gym gear from the red spot boutique or Big K Little Mart, BUT, you’re buying from a local company and I do believe the quality of product is higher. So if we’re cutting it on a cost per wear basis, this is a longer term investment.
Pro Tip: They also do bigger (and reasonably proportioned) sizes so for those of us who have a little more booty, don’t be afraid to wander in and try a few styles on.
