Officeworks used to be a much better place for designers like myself to get some supplies, but their range of quality pens and technical paper seems to be dwindling. They do still stock some copic markers and staedtler items so not all is lost. They also have a pretty easy to use photo printing service which I really should use more because printed photos are cool. Their ink prices for printers is still exorbitant and I’d rather just go to the library and print or buy ink off the internet, and they sell really crap knock of designer furniture like plastic versions of classic Eames chairs so that sucks. It would be great if Officeworks had a design section with rolls of paper, bleed proof paper and Copic marker refills for pen and paper nerds like me, but like another reviewer said, they are the«bunnings of stationery» and like bunnings, woolworths etc, they only stock what is economical for them, not necessarily the best products for the end user.

Officeworks. It’s the«Bunnings» of Stationery! Officeworks has everything you’d want for your office or kids for school. Huge selection of stationery, Copy & Print Stations, Computers, Cameras, Office Furniture(this list could go on forever, but you get the gist) I go in store to buy one thing or to make copies and I’ll walk out with at least 3 more things than I intended to buy. It could be just me, I’m a sucker for stationery and easily seduced by dump bins of cheap coloured pens and textas! If you’re like me, beware you’re guaranteed to buy more than you intended!(or need!!)

These guys are amazing(David in particular). I called looking for a very specific product and David, having determined that there were none in stock at his store, immediately went to work locating and setting aside the item in question for me at a nearby store. He could easily have brushed me off with a simple«sorry, not in stock» but instead he went out of his way to sort my problem. Amazing customer service and all too rare in today’s market!

Q: where can you get 1KG of M&Ms, a quill pen, and 60 photos printed onto coffee mugs? A: Officeworks Trinity Gardens. This is my local go-to for all things stationery, office-y, and occasionally sugar-y, and with very good reason: choice. The shelves are well stocked with everything you might need to get productive(except the motivation), with all the usual bits and pieces you can imagine stocking an office with. Laptops, speakers, stationery, chairs, paper… you could potentially set up an entire studio with this stuff. I bought my first ever laptop(which sadly, wasn’t a Mac — though I did learn about their superiority later) here, and got a great deal. Now, I head here for blank DVDs, basic pens and paper, and to print photos. The photo printing service is good(even though there’s ALWAYS a line up) and the prints are cheap. One note: parking is weird! If you enter off of Portrush Rd, keep a very close eye out for the entrance, as you’ll have to do a U-turn if you’re coming from the other side of the road. I have missed it on occasion.

Officeworks on Portrush Road at Trinity Gardens is my stand out Officeworks store. Sure, many of their products are similar to those on offer at all Officeworks, nevertheless this one is my fave — and its actually not even the closest one for me. What makes this one stand apart from all the others? I think the printing service at Trinity Gardens is first class. They are always prompt and will let you know if there’s a delay in getting your job done. I also think the staff here are super helpful. There is one older man in particular who has helped me in the past and I often see him helping other customers take oversized items out to their cars. It may sound pretty obvious but not all shops offer this really basic service.
