Had an early dinner here with a friend today, 4:40PM. A friendly woman served us recommending the herbed beer batter on our $ 25 order of 2 fish, 6 calamari and a serve of chunky chips. The order came fairly promptly to our table in a rather large box and placed on the table that I had wiped down myself of crumbs from the previous dinners. Both having english heritage we requested vinegar which was given free of charge, unlike the tartare which would have been an extra $ 3.50. The calamari was lightly crumbed, nicely cooked and went well with the wedges of lemon provided. Thats where it stops, the fish was tasteless, dry, over battered, saturated in oil and had a, I’ve been in the freezer to long feel to it. The chips should have been called shrapnel rather than chunky, 40% of which were finger nail size, fried till they were no longer recognizable as potato. They were quite possibly the worst chips I have ever eaten. Will be looking further in Toowoomba for a good fish and chips.

Have just bought 2 pieces of Perch, a serve of calamari and hand cut chips. Unfortunately there was more batter than fish, the calamari was tough and stringy and the chips tasted like the potatoes were old. Will definitely not be going back and not recommending it to any body.
