Chutney Mary Tandoori & Curry House

Hard to find because the name is different than on this site but the food was great and good value. Have eaten here twice so far and loved it both times. Off the beaten path.

There’s good and bad:
Good — cozy, eclectic décor, Bollywood videos and background music, authentic.
Bad — service, delayed, our young inexperienced server was handling our glasses by the lips, her thumbs were in our food. Gross.
Good — Goat masala, chef specialty, the shahi korma was great, coconut rice was lovely.
Bad — mango lassi, tasted a bit «off» and salty (?), aloo matar tasted ‘metallic’ as if it was cooked in a very very bad cast-​iron pan with no coating on it (that’s seriously the best way I can describe it)
Good — the mixed platter for two was exceptional, the pickles were mind-​blowing. I LOVE green mango pickles, and these ones were intense!
So definitely an excellent take-​out option, as the service was mediocre, but it was some of the tastiest Indian food I’ve had in Toowoomba, albeit a little hit and miss with the dishes.
