Being really cool doesn’t make up for being really shit.
Seems like they spend more time decorating the place than training staff on speedy food delivery. Which is a shame because the food is good, it just takes forever to arrive. For example, we ordered four serves of the delicious duck spring rolls. Instead of them coming out together, they came out in four different servings. Why, why why?

Not entirely sure what to make of this place. The place confuses me. They serve only two types of dishes, fried chicken or noodles. They’re both priced around the same, but the serving portion of the noodles is small and large for the fried chicken. The noodles were tasty but the flavour of the fried chicken was a little too over powering. Also the décor of the place gives me a feeling of «it’s not sure what it wants to be». Half of the place has oriental decorations, while the other half isn’t.
I guess I’m not sure what to make of this place. Maybe it’s still a work in progress…

Fantastic little spot on King Street. The four of us got an order which included Chilli Chicken Wings, Fried chicken, Wagyu Chow Mein, Wontons and Duck Pancake. It was plenty and it was delicious!
The price was not too bad per person ($ 30) but the quality was first class. We did need to get in early for a spot at lunch time. Its also pretty noisy considering King Street and the foot traffic.
All in all a great lunch spot.

Trendy and cool, this place is happening! Loved the brisket and the wontons but the fried chicken was a standout, finger-​licking good.

Another new venue by the Merivale empire. The place was packed even on a Tuesday night! I liked the interior deco. It’s filled with graffiti and looked like a garage filled with funky old furniture. I would be surprised if they picked up all the furniture from a council cleanup.
The food was pretty good sized and delicious. We ordered the halfies (technical term for half chilli chicken and half crispy chook) to try both flavours. The crispy chicken was vastly better than the chilli chicken. I find the chilli chicken too salty and full of MSG.
Overall, a great place to hang out for after work drinks and enjoy some light snacks while chit-​chatting.

Sippin’ on a whiskey sour after a belter of a day at the salt mines, this Eddie Punchclock perked up some as JJ Cale’s eponymous hit «cocaine» summed up what should’ve been tonights vice.
Next up Bobby D’s unmistakeable drawling ballad about the solution that can be found in the wind blowing.
Cypress hill rounded out the quick pit-​stop with one of their massive hits (from the?)
The look and feel of this place certainly fits the name, unfortunately that also lends itself to providing its customers with a stop rather than a destination.
Whilst it remains in the permanent state of temporary completion I feel un-​inclined to return here even though the cocktail was good.

Been walking past this place quite a bit after work and noticed it changed from the same old dark modern Thai restaurants that are popping everywhere to this cool arty place. Felt liked I walked into someone’s art studio or the back lane ways of Melbourne university art faculty.
This place just oozes coolness from the trendy-​chic waiters and waitresses to the wall art plastered everywhere. Such a visual overload!!!
Enough of the surroundings, food was great. Ordered the betel leaf trout as a starter, loved the different tastes of sweetness, sourness, and saltiness you get in these small packages. Could have easily smashed a few more with the cold copper ale I was drinking.
Next up for mains I shared with my lunch buddy, flat rice noodle beef and fried pork belly. Rice noodle was nice but nothing to rave about, I think it was missing the smokey flavour I am so used to at other places.
Now the pork belly was yummy. It was roast pork belly which is then deep fried so you get the crispy exterior not only of the skin but also the meat itself. It’s also covered in this sweet sticky sauce that just made it oh so much better.
This place is definitely a great place for lunch or dinner but it’s also a great hang out for after work drinks and nibbles if you want to avoid the chips and wedges served elsewhere.

One of the Thai waitress told me that they opened the business just over 1 month ago. Location next to Subway shop and under the restaurant is royal lounge.
Had a entrée selection to share with my friend over beer and everything is value for money. Crispy wafer coconut chicken is the bomb! I addicted to this this already.
Deep fried quail egg also beautiful, and batel leaves wrap smoked oven trout… So Devine. Shall I continue with chicken phase Thai? Or shall I leave you to try it your self?
