Went to Beverly Hills for peking duck but ended up here instead. We had the $ 39 deal and paid extra $ 5 to upgrade with their on the board specials. Friends ordered the bbq octupus salad and portion was huge it almost looked like a main. I had the king oyster mushrooms and portion was much smaller. Had their home made gnocchi for main and it was nice but a bit too soft for my liking, I’d prefer it to be a bit more chewy. Panna cotta was nice, with tea/coffee included. Overall a good dining experience and I will go back to try their garlic prawns and other mains. Cant go wrong with $ 39 for 3 courses.

I went here with my husband and parents on a weeknight. We made a reservation and showed up on time to an almost empty restaurant. We waited by the front door for several minutes before being seated. The table we were at was really drafty so we requested to move(lots of empty tables) and were given a lot of attitude by the woman who appeared to be the head waitress. Eventually she let us move but was so incredibly rude to us all night. The other servers were very neglectful, not filling glasses or taking our orders without us asking. The food was delicious and fresh and for food alone I would give the place 4 stars but the service really ruined our experience unfortunately. The restaurant was full by the time we left, very busy and people seemed to be having a good time.

What a treat of a place this is! Weekend set menu at $ 39. Bargain! We share the Lobster Bisque, Angus Beef Carpaccio, Garlic Prawns and Baby Octopus Salad. For mains it was the Pappardelle Cheek’s Ragù and Squid Ink Spaghetti Crab Meat. Our lovely meal was topped off with pannacotta and tiramisu with lemongrass and ginger tea. As what every other review has said the food really was delicious and portions were generous. I was stuffed at the end of my meal. It’s no wonder they were full on a Tuesday night so it would be my suggestion to definitely book in advance if you’re planning to make a trip here.

We all had the dinner combo for $ 39pp which includes choices of an entrée, a main, a dessert, and coffee/tea. The portions are generous an tet won’t skimp just because it’s asset combo deal. The grilled baby octopus salad was great with lots of octopus and rocket lettuce. The lobster bisque risotto was topped with a generous portion of prawns and scallops but I may try something else next time. The pana cotta was really nice for dessert as was the tiramisu. Verdict: the dinner combo is a great deal if you have the appetite

Was here a few months ago, good food, nice cozy atmosphere and good company. Service was friendly. Attempted to come again a few weeks ago without a reservation but it was so popular we missed out. Would love to come back again! One of the best Italian places in the St George area, don’t believe urbanspoon!

Delicious food! Went here as my going away dinner from my last trip to Australia. Randomly stumbled upon it and it turned out to be a great find! Little pricey but well worth it! Incredible flavors!

Great food and service! The lobster bisque risotto was my favourite and the squid ink pasta with crab meat was pretty good also. I read other reviews and it said the service was bad but I had a really pleasant experience and the waitress we had was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and reasonably priced!

I distinctly remember driving down the main strip of Beverly Hill’s, with all the familiar restaurants on either side of the street, when a sign caught my eye. It was Spago — decidedly Italian, and definitely new. We were just talking about making some pasta at home, but seeing the fresh pasta in the window meant dinner in my mind was already decided. I was more than a little excited approaching the new restaurant — first seeing the strands of freshly-made spaghetti in yellow, green and red hanging in the window and I knew we were in for something special. Although I was tempted to order the pork belly(as always), I resisted long enough to peruse their freshly made pasta dishes I kept seeing about the restaurant. In the end we ordered the squid ink spaghetti with blue swimmer crab meat and cherry tomatoes, the campanelle napoletana pasta with beef ragu, mushrooms and truffle oil and a side of chips with truffle aioli that we couldn’t resist(see their delicious menu here ). We were fighting over the squid ink spaghetti but in the end we decided to share the two among us. I have to say that both dishes were delicious, but the squid ink spaghetti was really, really good –although I couldn’t taste the squid ink at all(I expected a salty or vinegary taste); I loved the crab meat and the lightly peppery sauce. Service was lovely and attentive. Perfect restaurant for a night out for two.
