Burger fuel, ford freak out. Hmm what else can you say other then the foods as wonderful as the names. Great food, great service. I will be back next time I am up In Sydney with training without a doubt.

A kiwi institution — having eaten these burgers for years in NZ I was so excited to find them in Sydney! The ford freakout is a personal favourite — I’m just gutted they no longer have the blue cheese sauce — that stuff was gold!

The affordable burgers with option for, those who prefer halal meat, are in a variety of tastes with some quirky names. The soft buns and well seasoned patty is just what you need when craving good fast food but something not dripping in oil. The quality of burgers is good and delicious with my favorite being the Flame thrower which I tried… twice: P. It is difficult to get the balance of spices just right as to not over do it and Burger Feul does just that prompting me to go the second time. The fries and the dipping sauce are just perfect and the whole meal is filling and satisfying. The packaging of the burger is on point with the little cardboard holder for the burger so as to save you from being messy but keeping the spirit of using your hands, is just a masterstroke — a cue for other burger joints.

The fries. The dipping sauce and very good quality meat in the burgers. Need I say more? I don’t think so. But I will continue ;) the wait seemed a bit long and turned out they forgot our order, but made up for that by bringing a water bowl for the puppy.

Went here with a 2-for-1 coupon and was pretty impressed. We shared two vegetarian burgers, both of which were delicious(it’s so good to have decent veg options at the kind of place that often doesn’t have them), kumera chips(which were great) and a thickshake(also great) all of which came to just $ 22 with the coupon($ 33 without). Staff were friendly and when they realised half way through that they’d given us someone else’s burger(which had avocado instead of cheese — we wouldn’t have complained!) they brought us a complimentary third burger which we took home for second dinner!

Serviceable but not impressed. The mayo that drowned my burger and came as the sauce for my fries about gave me heartburn. There are many other far superior burgers options than burgerfuel in the area. You should probably go try them first.

Tried both the 1⁄3 pounder with cheese and their not-on-the-menu fish burger. Both were delicious! I really like that they give you a little semi circle cardboard that you can hold your burger in. This helps the contents of the burger from spilling out on the other side when you bite into your burger. I’ve been told that a burger called the bastard is worth trying and hence will have to visit here again to do that.

My first visit and will return. Tried the Cheese burger and thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly cooked beef, the melting cheese and crunch of the pickles. Probably could eat another one right now.

My daughter often goes to burger fuel for lunch as she works close by, she would rave about how good the burgers are and encouraged me to go try one too, so when Unilocal had put on a free burger event I thought what better time to go, after all free burgers taste better don’t they? I ordered the bio fuel, it was like your typical Aussie burger with egg and the all important every burger must have beetroot, it came with a little cardboard thingamajig that upon reading the instructions I realised it was a burger holder, so i could eat this ginormous burger without the contents falling out the other end, and it bloody works too, fantastic little device that really makes all the difference. The burger was so tasty and satisfying, it had beetroot on top and bottom of the burger, a huge juicy beef patty tomato lettuce and caramalised onion, oh so good, it came with a free redbull and I ordred a side of chips that were beautifully cooked, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I will definitely go back to try«the bastard» which by all accounts is also a great burger. And to top off the day, I finally got to meet the illustrious Benjamin B.

I’m just glad they have it here in Sydney. Every other joint around here sucks. But then again, Australia hasn’t had the rush to enhance the experience of burger joints.

Came here with a group of 3 friends and it cost over $ 100. For the cost you are expecting a real humdinger and this fell short. Mediocre patty, average buns, so many better places.

I love burger fuel — maybe it’s the New Zealand influence that reminds me of childhood holidays but they had me at Kumara fries! The meat and eggs are all higher welfare which is AMAZING! and you can taste the happiness in the quality ingredients that burst out of these tasty burgers. But have no fear although the ingredients might burst and the sauces flow you won’t get sticky hands due to handy burger holder!(What will they think of next?) There are several small booth tables, high large tables and a window bar in the small shop front. The staff are friendly and able to direct you to a fine burger selection! Which isn’t hard because the options are great — beyond your standard burger options there is options with peanut sauce, mango or Tofu so be ready for a taste sensation! A burger place to try when the craving next hits and the belly is empty!

Checking out the menu and some review from Sydney best Unilocaler,(not forgetting to mention also free burger of my choice from Unilocal) I decided to come and visit this burger join. I couldn’t decided between the basted or Santa boar, and the super friendly but geeky girls at the counter suggested the limited special, santa boar. Name is a bit funky, All righty then, also I have motto bites on the side, carrot, pumpkin, chickpea and finger with yoghurt relish on the side. First bite, my tastebuds tell me it is really sweet because cranberry sauce and some hint of Apple from old fashion Apple sauce, but taste so yummy. Can’t stop butting those juicy roast pork and the crunchiness from the crackling. OMG, taste so delicious. Motto bites are serves in 8 little bite balls, it’s a great vegetarian option too. Next time I’ll try the bastard, can’t wait!

Came here to try a burger called The Bastard. The name alone got me. Also, I was curious how mango would taste on a burger the size and density of my head. I sat at one of the outside tables so everyone walking past could see me Instagramming the daylights out of the bastard before I heffed into it. Plus I had to assemble The Doofer, the ingenious little cardboard holding thingy that helps you eat a burger without the juices dribbling all over your hands like juices are wont to do. And man, it worked. The mango, I mean. There was also beetroot and avocado and a thick, thick patty, and the whole thing just went Donald Trump on my ass in that it was big and loud and I wasn’t quite sure what was happening but I was enjoying the whole messy spectacle of it, and then quite suddenly it was gone and I was happier than I can remember being for a long, long time. A guy with a banjo came and played me out to my car. It was pretty great.

The kumara fries were definitely delicious but I thought the burger was just medium. I don’t often eat burgers so I am no connoisseur but I made a bit of a trek to get there and probably won’t do it again. The service was friendly and my food came quickly enough and it was certainly filling but alas I continue my quest for the perfect burger.

Love them buns! The burgers are seriously heaven. Dare I say they’re the best in Sydney! The doofer is ingenius and definitely makes eating their huge burgers easier. The motobites are great with the burgers as well.

Good burger place in the Newtown area, a bit of a walk up King’s Street from Newtown station. Lovely, juicy, yummy burgers. One of our staples when craving for burgers at the office. They have some pretty deadly burgers(some have bacon, beetroot, egg, avocado, mango — yes MANGO — etc. as toppings) but my fave is the C N Cheese, just your basic cheeseburger. Chips are yummy. Burgers are made pretty quickly, too. Though my boss did comment he had runny egg on a burger he ordered. (One time we ordered and my coworker gave my name but for some reason the guy on the other end thought it was«Noah.» Ah, well.)

In Sydney, a good burger can be hard to find. Places that are good close early(Café Giulia, for instance) and places that are open late aren’t any good(Oporto). My visit to Burger Fuel did nothing to end the search. I ordered the Ford Freakout and kumara fries, both of which took longer than expected to arrive, considering the store was about to close. Heavy metal music was blasting out of the radio, which would normally be fine — this was a late night in Newtown after all — but it was late night on a Tuesday. The place was closing so leeway is allowed, but I think the problem with my burger was more fundamental than sloppiness: the patty was just way too small for the bun. The bun was too big for everything. My burger was segmented into pockets of tomato, lettuce, etc, all of them slipping about on an overzealous serving of sauce. When I got to the patty it was serviceable, but not work the effort — and especially not for the price paid. Burger Fuel has ‘tude but lacks the skills to match.

One of my two fave burger spots in Newtown. Biased a little by my love of Kumera fries. Burger Fuel is just lovely for a delicious lunch or dinner. Ive tried most of their burgers, with my fave being the ‘Ford Freakout’ burger. If you’re a burger eater, I’d certainly give it a try.
