The cake was okay would be better and the tea we ordered was just ordinary tea bags. Service is brilliant.

Japanese cheese cake is quite nice, but it sounds a bit… errrr…‘having Japanese dessert in a Korean café’ wahahaha! Tried a new collection tonight and it’s very bad! They are tiny fruit collections — display in the individual fridge, and the staff told me it’s red bean and white bean paste. But oh please don’t TRY!!’ Terrible!

Lovely café, great coffee(and the coffee art), but the place is lacking in service and bakery quality. I stopped by to choose a cake for our NY’s eve dinner, and decided to taste the black forest cake before buying a full size for over $ 50+. The Black Forest cake was ok, it was a little too cakey for me, and I didn’t get that delicate kirsch and cherry flavors. The coffee shop is not really clean, it should only take 1 staff member to take the initiative and wipe the tables clean and pick up paper trash from the floor. Overall, an average experience.

Looking for weird and whacky desserts that are tasty, this is the place for you. You can try some sweet Asian treats with your typical red bean, green tea and taro flavours. They have a tea that I really like(I get it on ice) it’s the honey citron! Delicious!!! I’ve tried a lot here, there was a taro and potato cake(YEA!!! You read right) that was so good that I bought one for home! Other good cakes were the mocha roll, real green tea and mango mousse. They have the typical Asian spongy base which makes for light and fluffy desserts. It’s pretty hipster, if you’re ever around, come by!

There’s one word to describe this place: cute. Now I don’t normally like coining a place cute, but take one look at the miniature cakes and you’ll agree. Hello Happy is a Korean café/bakery/cake house that provides the customers with an eyeful of both asian and western desserts. The logo is fittingly designed in a happy looking font and they even have a little happy face mascot. It almost reminds me of Max Brenner chocolates(the bald man) logo. You can get a coffee and cake deal for $ 6.50, although some of the smaller pieces seem a bit pricey for it’s size. The walls decorated in ornate graffiti style with adequate seating out the back amongst all the giant plants sprawled around the place. If you’re passing through Strathfield, make sure you take a little detour here.
