Pretty on the outside and funky and bohemian on the inside, The Albany is decent. The outside is quite charming with its ivy covered exterior and architecture and the inside is very different with lots of red walls and poster décor. It has character and it’s affordable and sort of motel-ish. I enjoyed the boho vibe though. It’s not fancy or pristine, but it’s decent and the rooms are alright if a little small. The location is great, there are restaurants nearby and it’s very close to a stop where you can catch a tram and be somewhere central in a few minutes. There is free internet at a computer in the lobby and reception is helpful if you need something. The street it’s located on is gorgeous and I really enjoyed walking everywhere from there. There is the lovely Botanical Garden across the street as well. If you don’t mind that everything seems a little worn, and you like places with personality and very reasonable prices, I’d recommend it., but not if you want a luxury hotel.
