I really liked this place. Although on a Friday night it was way too busy for my usual liking, I enjoyed the food and the old school décor enough to have a lovely evening. Staff were really overworked, but thankfully its BYO so you can sip wine and chat if you’re not in a rush. We ordered bruschettas, salads, soup, steak, and vegetarian pasta(they can make several of their dishes into vegetarian versions if you ask). I really enjoyed all the food, and I liked the décor/vibe of the place. I’m a sucker for these old school joints where you can feel decades of clientele and cultural history in the ether. And the fact that it was totally packed on a Friday, means that others likely agree. I’d very much return.

Service was top notch. Great tomato soup. My steak was cooked perfectly. Two small complaints. Too much«char» flavor on the steak for my liking, and it was kind of chilly in the restaurant. I had to wear my coat throughout my meal.

Great food, great place and lovely«house wine» named after the place. Highly recommend the bruschetta for appetizer.

Been a regular for over 20 years taken dozen of international police and govt officials great steaks and potatoes in jacket! BYO and the house port at the end polishes off the meal! Great ambience and a must visit.

I haven’t been here for at least 5 years. Nothing has changed in that time; the décor is the same, the menu just as appealing, and the food just as good. I started with an entrée size pasta dish which was so big, I only planned to eat half of it to leave room for main course. That plan went out the window because it was delicious, I couldn’t stop! My eye fillet arrived and was duly demolished as well. I left the restaurant having eaten way too much, but very, very happy. Recommended!

This place is awesome. Italian done just right, oysters were delicious. Staff is friendly and reasonably eficient(hence the 4 stars). The place was surprisingky full on a Wed. evening. I had the Roo for the first time and my associate said it was perfectly cooks. Something for everyone on the menu. This place has been here for many years. I wish them many more in the future. Thumbs up to you all at the Olive Tree.
