I had been looking for a «sip and paint» locale for awhile, after having eyed many of my California friends having done this activity. Envy them, no longer! Brisbane is home to Australia’s first ‘sip and paint’ studio!
Hillary & B.J. are the co-​owners of the business, and welcome customers (and new friends). They make pleasant company and roving commentators!
There is an instructor on hand to guide each of our creativity onto canvas. I appreciate the option to choose our own paint colours and art if one wants to go with the flow. The wine (beer, soda, whatever) certainly helps one to relax and laugh during this great activity.
Nibbles are available for sale — Della Mona brownies as an example — but I did not see anyone purchase. B.J. offered glasses of water to us all (much appreciated — if you don’t mistake it as the paint rinse water). They also offer a few items for sale, such as tshirts by local artists, yummy candles (my favorite is the coconut & lime one!), and handmade aprons.
