Buckley’s Chance Licensed Cafe & Restaurant

These guys don’t do scrambled eggs. But you can have them poached or fried… WTF
We left after waiting too long to take our order. Otherwise pancakes are Good.
This place is Overpriced.

I understand that Sorrento has gone past up-​market, but that’s no reason to be so blatantly ripped off for a lunch.
I ordered the smash avocado with a side of mushrooms and hash brown that costed $ 27 to only get 4 tiny mushrooms, a $ 1 per mushroom is ridiculous anywhere. The smashed avocado literally came with 2 pieces of toast and everything was cold and poorly served.
I ordered a pot of tea to have them fill the pot halfway, who the hell skints on water?!
Don’t ever order a smoothie, especially the super green, water down cordial with capsicum.
Couldn’t even finish the breakfast super disappointed, overcharge for bad service and poor quality food.
Seriously go anywhere else but here, so not worth it, keep driving to Red Hill or Flinders or back to the city and get a good breakfast.
Also don’t sell a smash avocado for $ 19 and then sell a poached eggs on toast with the option of getting smashed avocado on the side for a totally of 16.50

A little café tucked at the end of the Ocean Beach Shopping strip, was only here for a coffee which was reasonable. Nice space outside for a coffee. Can imagine Buckley’s Chance is incredibly popular in summer. Hit the spot and did the job :)

Really not a bad little spot. Menus are a little fun written in children’s books. The prices, food and coffee are also better than up the road at Shells. On the downside they got one of the orders wrong, took forever for drinks to come out, and no split bills. Not only is it no split bills but you have to go inside to pay, and the receipt they bring out to the table doesn’t have the prices on it. So after you walk inside to request the receipt to take back to the table you then have to divide subtotals by the number of dishes to work out the amout per dish. So for groups, it’s a process…
The waitresses were friendly and the food was pretty good, so I’ll come back here again, but will be inclined to try other places down the street.

Visiting from N America can’t get over the prices 42 American plus the 4% premium for burger with fries 1 reg bottle beer 1 foccassio chicken San, My big beef here is they say it’s angus beef, Tasted more like watered down pork sausage, I’ll go down to rosebud for a McDonalds tommorrow

We were unable to find a good breakfast spot in Sorrento but came across Buckley. They offered exactly what we wanted — simple, but good food and friendly staff. I really liked their hash browns — very crispy, none of that soggy stuff that comes from hash browns that are drenched in oil.

A late morning breakfast which was much needed and Buckley’s delivered. Scrambled eggs on sourdough with a side of grilled mushrooms. As delicious as it was I couldn’t’ get through it all and had to give up, sit back and enjoy the casual atmosphere and sip on my lovely latte.
As we were leaving plates of goodness from the lunch menu were arriving at tables all around us. Damn, I will have to go back for lunch!
