Freeman has been my go to bakery/​café in the mall for years now. Located inside the Harris Scarfe store it has recently had a make over and looks better for it.
The tables and chairs look better than what was there before complementing the large water feature in the middle of the café… currently lacking water but still looks good.
What else looks good is the use of old local newspaper clippings as pattern for the columns and windows.
Stocks all the usual bakery goods, pies, pasties and cakes along side a sandwich bar. Coffe is not bad but I don’t get here often so usual grab a Mr. D cola instead.

I seen the Chinese owner yesterday taking food in to the Marketplace. He dropped some pies on the ground and picked them back up carried them inside. I told one of the staff who told me it happens alot. So does that mean they still sell that crap. They weren’t even fussed.
