Good to see so many great reviews for this little hidden gem in the Salisbury industrial estate — on the Moorooka side of Salisbury. Clearly it was formerly some sort of dirty brick warehouse which has been turned into a funky little hipster joint along the lines of the venues popping up around the inner city(and the ones that have been in Melbourne for years). One of the tables is a Singer sewing machine! And they have an old record player spinning old jazz tunes, and occasionally some chillout stuff and trip hop(Portishead and the like). The coffee is great. But have you tried the Reload Burger? Big, sloppy, delicious burger that really fills a hole! Mouth-wateringly delicious! And also their all day breakfast is amazing. But here’s where I have a bit of a whinge. «All day breakfast» indicates that the venue is open all day. It is not. In fact, sadly, they close up at 1pm. And fair enough, if they can’t afford to pay staff to work beyond 1pm, or to hire others to work shifts. But they seem to be doing pretty well! Stay open, guys! Extend lunch time! Serve dinner! The food is great! Give more people a chance to visit! When we first discovered this venue(by accident during a walk), it was closed. And the next few times we came across it, it was closed… So we have to make sure we’re there early enough to catch them before they close. But come in and check out the place for their delicious breakfast or lunch — before 1pm! And don’t come in at 12:30… They’ve already started packing up and you’ll feel guilty for making them unpack again. Order your lunch no later than 12. Oh, and also — the staff are really nice. A funny main boss guy and a lovely team of people with French and Spanish accents. A nice bunch of folks cooking up delicious eats and great coffee.

Warm & welcoming staff with OUTSTANDING latte! Set in a funky brick building furnished with mismatched and inviting tables and SOFAS for lounging. Outdoor seating and toy basket for the littlies. Background music is hum along to the old classic rock/pop. Quiet enough to hold conversations while tapping your toes! All adds up to a relaxed spot that every neighbourhood needs! Will be back to try the yummy sounding food offerings!

I found this café on my way to work one morning and I am very happy I stopped! Greeting me on arrival was the most adorable dog, and I am very partial to my four legged friends so a gold star for you Reload. If I could re-model my house to look like the inside of Reload I would for sure(damn rentals). I love everything about the décor from the tables to the piano to the books on the wall. The food came quickly, and service was with a smile and a chat. I had bacon and eggs and was not disappointed in taste or price. All in all a great little spot and I will be sure to visit again!

I’m fast becoming a regular at Reload. My favorite haunt for Saturday morning breakfast and coffee. .which is all on the money for value and taste. Giuliano and his crew have created a space where everyone from hipsters to grandma’s can enjoy spending time together. It’s a unique café. .experience it for yourself.

A cheery place for breakfast on the weekend. Great food, loved the haloumi and mushrooms with my eggs and the music is spot on. I’ll be back!

I was really very excited to visit this new café — and maybe it was just a busy day — but I wasn’t impressed by the service, food or coffee. The building is very cool with rusted iron bits & awesome industrial remnants — and being a local I really enjoyed the history books of the suburb. That’s about where the good bits end though. To Reloads credit, they were run off their feet and obviously didn’t expect the popularity on the Saturday morning. I think there must be a dance school near by as there where lots of mums with tiny dancers. We ordered, eggs on toast and coffees. Nothing too hard. Coffees took about 25 minutes. Food another 25 after that. Ok, so a busy day — forgivable — even though I was pretty darn hangry by the time the food finally arrived. The waiter did apologise and thank us for our patience — but at this point I’d be expecting a free muffin from the owner — something to sweeten the deal. We were literally 2 minutes from canceling our order and going to macdonalds. The food is cheap — but seriously — toast was tough, soggy and chewy — and $ 2 for tomato with your egg should buy a fried half tomato in my opinion. Not a slice that looked like it had been squished under foot and slightly coated in oil. Add to this that the coffee was average at best and we won’t be returning to Reload any Saturday soon. I’ll consider attempting to get fed in a timely manner at reload on a different day — but for now am quite bummed at the experience.

An oasis of hipness in the industrial area of Salisbury. A relaxing and interesting space in which to hang out. Friendly staff, great hot and cold bevvies and delicious food. They have many organic and gluten free options and an emphasis on locally sourced food.

Reload Espresso Bar is located in a former bullet factory(hence the name), and serves up serious coffee and wholesome food at reasonable prices. I spent the morning at Reload doing some work while knocking back a few flat whites and a generously sized berry croissant. If I hadn’t been so full I would have tucked into a salad too, as they looked fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!
