Rye Hotel

I only went to the pub as it was the only place to get a beer.
It a nice pub with a numer of good beer’s. The place is friendly and clean. I cannot think of anymore to say about the place apart from i will go back at some time

The Rye Hotel reminds me of a cafeteria type pub. We stopped for dinner here on our way down to Portsea on the weekend. This place is pretty large, tables everywhere, no real character to speak of but gets the job done. You order your drinks from the bar, *remember your table number* then walk over to a counter where you order your food. You’ll be given your bread rolls and off you go to wait. I ordered the fish and chips and my partner ordered the rib eye. Fish and chips were good pub fare, the rib eye with mushroom sauce was a bit average for $ 33. There’s no real table service although there are many waitresses clearing and cleaning tables. There is a condiment station right by the entrance, so when asking for vinegar for my chips, I was told that I should go get it at the condiments table. All in all, probably wouldn’t go back to this place but filled the belly at the time.
