The dishes here look like they are from Vietnam and /or Asian countries. They try to put in some effort to make it look authentic, but the taste is typical Chinese. Tried the seafood laksa. It comes with 2 prawns, 2 squid and 2 slices of fishes with thin rice noodle. Also had a coconut with pulp drink, by the way comes in a can. The dish tasted normal and not very spicy. All for a total of $ 19.95.(For a large bowl) The view on the other hand is excellent. Go there for lunch and ask to sit by the Fitzroy river to enjoy the view. Can get warm in the summer if it is not raining.

Came here one night for dinner at the recommendation of some friends who loved locally. The restaurant is located right on the Fitzroy River, and while we had a ‘window’ table, we couldn’t actually enjoy the scenery as they had plastic café blinds drawn — so we missed out on river breezes and water views. Kind of disappointing. For a Vietnamese restaurant, it had typical Chinese food on the menu. To prepare for dinner, we had a look at the menu on their website, and the prices differ dramatically from the current menu in-house. The food was perfectly okay, but in no means anything special. And definitely not Vietnamese. Although it seems they only offer Vietnamese food on their lunch menu, and not their dinner menu. Very strange. Also be warned that if you want to pay by card(be it EFTPOS or credit), they will charge you a $ 1 service fee. And more if you want to use Amex.

For a very cheap restaurant, the food is very good quality and the service is friendly and speedy. The portion sizes are excellent. The ingredients are fresh.
