After getting some fresh sashimi i wanted coffee and this was the only place i could see that served coffee. Order & pay at the counter towards the left as the deli counter is on the right. They have 2 tables to sit and both tables specifically note that no seafood is allowed on the tables. So only café food really Huge selection of sauces, chutneys, dips — you name it they probably have it. They also serve Pat’s ice cream sandwiches and other sweet items. This place is filled to the bring with random items. So if you need a break away from the seafood or just need some ideas on sauces to cook your seafood in — this would probably be the spot. Only got coffee and that was good.

Best selection of sauces in Sydney! Lots of imports! This little shop in the middle of the fish market is worth a stop on its own. They have a great cheese selection including a lot of imported cheese that I haven’t seen anywhere else. The hot sauce selection is great including my latest favorite: Cholula. Lots of olive oils and their deli has great stuff too. Lots of different things for an antipasto plate. They are one of the first places in Sydney to bring in Clamato juice — which if you don’t know is a key ingredient in the vodka-based drink called a Caesar. It is a bit pricey but worth it! The staff are also very helpful and let you try sample the cheeses before you buy. Highly recommended but bring your money. It is pricey but worth every cent.

If the clogging smell of fish is getting a little too much for you in Sydney’s fish market, I’d recommend retreating to this salvation of a delicatessen. It seems to bring together all the best in foodie condiments with rows upon rows of oils, vinegars, and conserves as well as specialised basics for seafood cookery such as risotto rice and fancy pasta. At one end they’ve done some clever categorising by nationality so you can find what you’re looking for as quick as a flash. There’s a whole section of pre-made finger food and sweet things too for those in a luxurious mood next to the coffee shop at the other end of this store. There, you’ll find the coffee fairly normal for such a specialised place, and I recommend taking yours outside to enjoy the views rather than sipping them in the fug of fish! You’ll also find a fantastic cheese counter featuring both European and Australian cheeses. Of course, this all comes at a high price so don’t see this as a groceries opportunity, only come here for specialised food.
