Hmmm, Yet another way to spend some hard earned on some great grape juice. I like this place for several reasons; one it strays away from dull, bland, insipid and mass commercial offerings, the hours are pretty friendly, for instance it doesn’t close absurdly early like some other stores, and I’m guessing it’s a bit of a time capsule; it hasn’t really changed inside, or at least, hasn’t seemed to in the past quarter century. It has that real old school look and feel, as well as the sea grass/hessian flooring stuff. But back to the wine. It’s selected in small little areas, designated for rationality, type and so-forth, and offers a good range of pricier but much better wines. So maybe this is a good idea for a picnic in Fawkner park, as a liquid lunch supplies shop. Alternatively, the going home at the end of the day thing and the «Dang it, I feel like an awesome wine to drink, so why not?»
