Obligatory late night haunt for the drunk and hungry. When you’re in the mood for a good as it gets grease fest, make a bee line for the corner of Darlinghurst and Bayswater roads… its sobering fluorescent lighting and neon bright corner presence is impossible to ignore, and even harder to resist — come 3am. I’m talking wall to wall of everything cooked in far too much oil to fathom. If it’s loaded with calories and drowning in oil, you’ll find it here. I’m talking heart attack central. If you’re really up for a fat fest, go the pork chops. This is fat on fat, dripping with oil and as greasy as can be. Just what the doctor ordered after hours of Kings Cross drinks fuelled shenanigans. Throw in some chips and wedges for good measure, and who can go past a devil wing or three at 3am? Need bread to soak up the all night booze? Go the pizza — that hefty, bready kind… loaded to the hilt with toppings and cheese. But count your change. Being wee hours, the dude clearly presumed I was too drunk to notice the $ 10 he short changed me. Unfortunately for him, I’m not as silly as I apparently look.
