Don’t go. Left after 10 minutes waiting for a menu or the opportunity for a drinks order after trying three times to get the manager or the waiters attention. Previous time was ok, majority of dishes were good but a few were meh.

Dalmatino is a little hit and miss for my liking. On one side I adore the food here. It is always tasty and has a very home cooking feel about it. On the other side the service is slow and this is never the place to go if you are wanting a quick bite to eat. I have been here three times now, twice we had the tasting platters and the third time ate off the menu. I can say that the tasting platters for $ 45 is good value but not a huge amount of food. Also the timing of the dishes coming out was a little strange. Both times we had a rush of entrees and mains and then an hour wait for dessert. For the time we ate off the menu it was a 3 hour long entrée and main wait and eat, so much so we gave up on dessert. If you are not in a hurry you might want tot try here otherwise I would give this place a miss.

The best service I have received from a restaurant in Australia. From the front door being opened to it being held open when we left you will not find better service anywhere in Melbourne. Not sure if the staff are owners or just workers but everyone there acts as if you are the only customer. Generally don’t ip in Australia but I dare anyone to go there and not ip. It’s impossible. Food was different than I expected but good without being outstanding. Definitely the experience was enhanced by the atmosphere the place gives off. Very decent prices for the quality of food. It’s a must go place.

A great Croatian restaurant as seen on Food Safari. You’ll be charmed by the welcoming, friendly and funny staff. You’ll be warmed by the wonderful ambiance. You’ll be fulfilled by the tasty, home style Croatian cuisine. Your best bet is to come down for dinner on a Wednesday night where you can enjoy a tasty 3 course dinner for $ 42. All accompanied by some Croatian music to keep you entertained. Serving sizes are generous and you will be totally full by the time you leave. Especially if you partake in some of the Croatian wine on offer. Dessert was a memorable serving of crumbed dumplings filled with chocolate. Breakfast is served on weekends and you can see many people catching up over it at the outdoor tables. My recommendation is to give breaky a miss though and try the Wednesday night dinner instead.
