Great tapas style setting. Friendly and accommodating staff. Unique specials. Beef heart was delicious. Patas bravas tasted the same as anywhere. Good wine selection and recommendations from staff. Very casual setting.

Intimate setting and good service serving tapas with a modern Aussie twist(think crocodile croquettes). We needn’t have worried about there being enough; 5 plates and a refreshing jug of homemade sangria filled the pair of us up nicely although we couldn’t help ourselves indulge in some delicious churros to round of a great evening.

We ordered beer, wine, and tapas. Best of the bunch was the mushrooms with aioli, followed by the crocodile croquette with what my sweetie identified as Gouda cheese. Service was polite and attentive, overall an excellent meal.

If you’ve ever been to Port Douglas(affectionately known as Pt Diddy), you will be all over the service up here. It’s better than any other city I’ve been to in Australia. In fact, I’d put it on par with service I’ve experienced in Honkas and Japan. We weren’t surprised when our expectations were exceeded here. Our waitress was in game mode, like a 22 year old version of me playing GTA Vice City her lightening fast reactions and ability to preempt what we wanted(including my delicious vegan meal) were rad cakes. We ordered bread with dips(oil and balsamic for me) and I ordered a paella(sans feta) for my main. It was hands down the best paella I’ve ever had. I wasn’t even a teeny tiny bit jealous of the tapas the other three ordered. In fact, I don’t think I even picked up my phone to tweet, check in, update Facey or SnapChat anything while I was easting. It was THAT good. I ordered vegan sorbet for dessert but the chef accidentally filled a martini glass with a non-vegan sorbet. Our waitress didn’t miss a beat and brought it out to the table anyway but gave it to the only guest who didn’t order dessert — now we were all equal. I’m sick of being served sorbet on a plain white plate so I was über thankful when a martini glass filled with chopped strawberries, mint leaves, two flavours of delicious sorbet and garnished with toffee shards arrived in front of me. If you’re keen for vegan noms in Pt Diddy, this is a good dinner option.
