Awesome $ 10 burger & chips Monday’s and $ 10 Sangria jugs. Cannot beat that for value. Also at Bazaar is the huge smörgåsbord at $ 65 or $ 60 for locals. Includes seafood.

Friendly staff, lots of selections, and a nice atmosphere, makes this a better than your ordinary buffet. Now, you don’t know me but that’s saying a lot as I am not a «buffet loving» kind of girl. But this buffet has a bit of a twist for while you can eat and be pleased with whatever they are serving on the day or night you are there, the chefs behind the buffet will also whip up whatever you want with only an ask. For example, at breakfast, I wanted an omelette and one was quickly prepared. And in the evening, while all of the various things looked enticing, all I really wanted was a medium rare steak, and they made that as well. The range of foods is huge. At breakfast, pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs, fruits, juices etc dominate the buffet. And at night, there is a salad section, charcuterie and cheese section, raw seafood bar, main buffet offerings from pizza to rump roast and potatoes to dim sum and even a spread of deserts. Not sure what breakfast cost as it was included in the price of my room, but dinner was $ 65 which was reasonable given the wide selection, friendly service and speed with which I was able to eat. I’m still never going to be a big fan of buffets, but this one does a nice job of doing it right!

«Oh! Yum! Awww Cute!, Oh God.» These were the common phrases from our mouth when we enjoyed three breakfasts and one dinner at Bazaar while we were staying at QT Port Douglas. Breakfasts: included in our rate so we hit it up. The staff welcome you and talk you through the buffet, which is a nice change to being given a plate. This were presented really well and the food was tasty and varied, with the exception of this mornings breakfast, which had quite a few cold things which were meant to be hot, like eggs and hash browns, it seems on a weekday morning the food might not turn over as quickly. Only other gripe from my travel buddy was that they had such cool foods young urbanites like us like, but no chai, seems like a simple addition. Dinner: Also included in our rater was dinner for two at their«interactive» dining experience. While they kinda admit its just a fancy buffet, you really do interact with the chefs, you can have made to order — steaks, dumplings, tasting plates etc. Ready for the taking are amazing salads, yummy seafood and a variety of foods from Moroccan chicken to pizza to a rice dish. They aim to sample food from all over the world. We loved it and moderation was left in our room as we ate too much, way too much. Even if I don’t stay at QT at my upcoming trip to the gold coast — I’ll be hitting up Bazaar for dinner, and you should too in one of their locations.
