Was seated outside in the cold with no heating told no availability inside. The drinks were $ 20 upwards and made strong. The pizza arrived incredibly thin, we requested no olives and it came with them on there. Finished off with lebanese doughnuts that were tiny and awful. We had to get teas and coffee to wash our palates.

We had a pretty good meal here — stuffed zucchini flowers, scampi, arancini and a decent pair of pizzas. We had the mushroom pizza with truffle oil and the one with chilli and prawn(and I think maybe pesto?). Half the table loved one pizza better, half liked the other. Both were good. Our waiter was really sweet and friendly, but no one checked on us again after our meal was served, so I didn’t get another glass of wine since the staff were too hard to flag down. And the desserts were pretty lacklustre. One friend got the mini doughnut thingies and they were tasteless and the rest of us got the affogato, which didn’t have the right proportion of ice cream to the coffee and port. Over all, we had a pretty decent meal, but I would skip the desserts. Their bottle blonde hostess needs to learn how to talk to patrons too — she’s flat out rude. We would have up and left after being seated if our waiter wasn’t right there and immediately super warm and friendly.

Located on Broke Rd(corner of Macdonalds Rd), Goldfish is one of the more affordable restaurants in Hunter Valley. Food was OK but overpriced. Service was BAD. When my partner and I walked into the restaurant, no waiter/waitress was in sight. Finally a waitress walked out from the kitchen with a tray full of food, she served her customers and went back.(are you blind or something? you cant see a 5’2 or 6’1 human being in front of you?) So we walked up to the bar areas, and the bartenders punted us back to the servers… After a few minutes, a waiter finally came by and brought us to a table. This was not it… When my partner asked what that night’s tap beer was, she said she was not sure but it would typically be heineken… silence… My partner then asked«so it’s in a bottle» And waitress said«yes» Seriously? It is bad enough that you do not know the menu well but giving stupid answer like that? We gave her the«look» which sent her to the bartender for further clarification. My suggestion is: Keep your expectation to the minimum and you wont be disappointed.
