Seriously great pizzas! They are what a pizza should be with minimum ingredients and a thin base. We have got them home a few times and they were cold but I still ate the whole thing it was that good! Prices compare good against crust and its BYO if you want to dine in.

Awesome proper pizzas! Haven’t tried their dessert pizzas yet though. We usually get a pizza and a garlic bread which are decent size.

Great pizza. I tried the salted caramel and banana pizza and the garlic bread. The pizza was a thin crispy base with salted caramel sauce and sliced bananas. Served cold was a little surprising but a tasty delight. The garlic bread was a sliced crusty loaf with lots of garlic (100 points right there for the amount of garlic) and was still nice and soft inside.
The price is well worth the quality of the pizza 10⁄10

Hasta la Pizza!
These pizzas are great but get in early because they usually sell out by 8 or 9pm. Or, as was the case the night we went there, at about 7:40pm. You can imagine the daggers the woman who came in to order at 7:40 shot the cashier when she was told ‘there were no more pizza bases’. The issue here is that they make all their bases by hand, so when they are gone, they are gone. As a result of this they are really a fine tasting pizza base with simple good quality topping just like the Pope and the Pizza gods intended.

Decided to order pizzas from here rather than the usual Crust. After reading the reviews my expectations were high and I was excited to try a new place.
Unfortunately Old Lira wasn’t quite as satisfying as I had hoped. The sour dough bases were delicious but the toppings weren’t as good — not enough of it on the pizza. The pineapple I had tasted fresh and sweet but the sauce wasn’t anything special. The meat was good quality but the serving just wasn’t generous enough.
I’m happy to have tried this place but I think I’ll stick with Crust next time. They have a lot more to choose from and the toppings are more generous.

Old Lira is not just adorable, it serves great pizza and has a really relaxed vibe.
Those sourdough bases are just amazing, and reminded me a lot of the pizza bases in the US.
There are a range of interesting topping combinations, as well as some well-​executed classics.
I highly recommend getting a couple of mates together, stocking up at the bottle shop next door and heading to old Lira for a delicious dinner.
