Great spoton the beach. Love to go here for coffee, breakfast, lunch or even dinner. Excellent combi: go for a swim, meet your friends, hang out in the park, etc. Good selection of food!

Clancy café is huge. Well only because it’s a bar, a café and a restaurant. situated in city beach, it appears to be the only food establishment in this area. Great views from the café/restaurant/bar but on extremely windy days, best to sit as far from the balcony area as possible. Pay at the counter service with attentive staff that are roving around replacing empty bottles of water, clearing tables with lightening speed and providing food speedily. Breakfast menu is from 7 to 11.30 with interesting options such as the pork belly and the Portobello mushrooms with polenta, red pepper pesto, goats cheese, balsamic chips, and locally grown asparagus. I got the second option that was for $ 17. Also got a skim mocha for 5. The coffee was divine. The mushroom dish was tiny and I felt ravenous even after finishing it but it was delicious. The mushrooms were chewy and succulent. The polenta was crispy and soft. The red pepper pesto was flavoursome. The asparagus was humongous, crunchy and juicy. Definitely amazing tasting but over priced. I could have had two of the mushroom dishes. The smashed avocado and cheese was yummo. They forgot the balsamic chips. :( My colleague also said the coffee was good and she is a coffee snob like me. Her partner devoured his big breakfast but he is like the hulk and will eat anything. They said their sourdough toast was average.

Great spot for family brunch! Small menu for lunch but great food! Love the fish taco! Kids usually get the fish & chips or the chips bucket! Decent coffee too :-) Usually quite a que but food comes quick! Small playground to keep the boys active while waiting! Great view! Bike and car parking no probs!

This is a great place to go meet friends for a coffee/breakfast as your view is the gorgeous City Beach. This café can get pretty busy on the weekend. The staff are usually run off their feet. The menu is quite big so it should cover all dietary requirements, if not just ask. The coffee is lovely & they have lovely treats on display to tempt you. They do breakfast, lunch & dinner but the dinner hours change with the seasons.

I can’t believe Clancy’s Café hasn’t been reviewed yet. As the name suggests, Clancy’s Café is part of Clancy’s Fish Pub. It sits on the North external beach side of the Clancy’s City Beach Fish Pub. Almost all of the café is outside, and they offer coffee, tea and smoothies, as well as some casual food options for breakfast lunch and early dinners. They offer hot breakfast options, and for lunch lots of takeaway style seafood dishes, like fish and squid and chips. We had the squid rings and they were dusted in Moroccan style spices and were very tender. There were also a few cakes, sandwiches and salads available in the cabinet. More salad options would be great. Fish and chips here at sunset would be all time beautiful. It’s also a great place to go for just a coffee catch up and enjoy watching the waves roll in. It is almost like a beach kiosk, so service is very casual too. It’s dog friendly too — high fives from Boris the dog.
