Every one that has been here agreed that this restaurant has the best spot to enjoy sunset while you enjoy your dinner. View just ah-maze –sing! Those who drive, will easily get a spot to park, and those who catch public transport, the bust stop just right at the door, just need walk around 20 steps. Garlic Bread: Nicely done, flavour of the garlic, hint of cheese and great to share Greek salad: well, it’s not«originally» Greek salad, as you found leaves as a garnish to bulk up salad volume but it does look pretty, with generous amount of chunk square fetta cheese on top. I still remembered feeling so happy, that onion has thinly slice, so you don’t have this in your face onion taste that overpowering your whole palate. Chilli Chesse Fries: Well, a little disappointed with the crunchiness of the chips, and amount of cheese, need more cheese to make this«cheesy» fries more enjoyable. The flip side of the coin, I live the surprise of rosemary scented salt, with slice marinated olives mixture on it. Calamari; Nice and tender, but I think the coating feels to me a slightly has to cook in the hotter temperature deep fryer, as it soaked a fair mount of oil, that you can taste in the battered coating. Chocolate Melted Centre: Presentation could be better. If you want to show case the gooeyness of the centre, you need to take of the mound, let the show casing it when you cut through the centre. But instead they put on medium size brûlée ramekins and for the price of $ 15, this is a little expensive since ½ scoop of home brand vanilla ice cream served in the side with it. Taste good though!

Long wait but a great meal! I ordered the salmon and the side Greek salad but I really wish I had of gotten the bucket of prawns! Best part of the whole meal was the dessert which was ice cream, coffee and liquor ! A must try!

Nice atmosphere, open porch, great view of the water. A bit on the pricey side, but a really nice mushroom risotto & solid fish + chips. Their pear cider was also really nice.

Tasty seafoods, friendly staff and nice inside deco, lots of lovely Moroccan lanterns. Very easy to find with lots of parking place across the road. A great place to go if you wanna a bite in an afternoon at Palm beach.

Barrenjoey House is a popular restaurant spot for locals and travelers. It boasts indoor and outdoor seating with filtered views of magical Pittwater. Plenty of parking available across the road. I love the styling of this place — Moroccan lanterns hanging down from the ceiling, luxurious brown leather couches and pots full of leafy plants that create an I-could-be-anywhere but I’m definitely on holidays kind of atmosphere. The service is friendly. It’s not overly attentive but I believe that could be due to the casualness of the place. The food was good quality, with plenty of delicious choices on the menu. I loved the fresh oysters, seafood plate and affogato for dessert. Check out the cocktails and it’s a good wine list too! Today they had a deal of $ 59 for three courses. We got stung by the 10% surcharge on Sundays but will remember that for next time! It was a lovely place to sit and enjoy a three course meal leisurely over the afternoon.

I had lunch here on Saturday 25th July. Excellent restaurant in great location. The sun beams down and warms you .Very popular with locals and celebrities. Food is high quality. The waiters and waitresses are excellent and polite. The bar is great to sit at and imbibe a few wines. The décor is original and homely.

Lovely atmosphere and good quality food. Came here for lunch with the family because my mum loves this place. It is in a great location in Palm beach right opposite the ferry you catch to the basin. We were sitting outside and there was barely any traffic noise despite being right on the main road. The food is what you would expect from a restaurant like this– decent sizes and decent prices– around $ 20 a plate. 2 of us ordered the fish and chips and the other 2 ordered the trout which the daily special. The fish was fresh and the tartare sauce was home made. I thought my chips were undercooked but that could have been a one-off. The trout received thumbs up all round. The staff were friendly and kept wandering by to make sure everything was fine. I’d recommend this place for a sunny day or any time you want to go somewhere a little bit more classy.

We stayed at this«hotel» & ate here in February. Back in Palmie & remembered we forgot to review. But we did not forget our experience unfortunately . We had a room overlooking the storage porch so we had no fresh air to our extremely hot & stuffy room. Unreal. Also had a meal the previous night with good food but frighteningly unhappy wait staff that didn’t hold back sharing how miserable they were with customers. Clearly should not have been in customer service role. One place we won’t be visiting again !!!

After a day at Palm Beach, the Barrenjoey was the venue for a few relaxing ciders. You may initially get the impression that the place is a little expensive — far from it. At $ 21 a round for three people($ 7 each, maths fans) it was great. So much so that we sat and watched intended bus numbers one, two, three and four mosy on by before we eventually bade our leave. Get on down…

Went for lunch and enjoyed friendly casual service that made us feel like a local. Cocktails were delicious and the food was fresh, tasty and generous helpings. I had the cod which as one of the best fish meals I have had in Australia

Out for a romantic evening. Seated in the deck section provided a nice relaxed atmosphere with a touch of class. All staff were warm friendly and attentetive. Started with grilled scallops and pumpkin tart. Both were perfect and very tasty. Mains consisted of duck risotto and seafood cold and hot patter. Again great dishes combining clean fresh ingredients with good condiments. Finished off with chocolate honey ice cream. Would definitely return. Dinner for two was $ 160. Mains were 28 – 40. Plenty of options for dining experience from intimate dining, to larger family tables to comfortable couches for a catch up over drinks.

One of the fancier places I’ve been to recently, Barrenjoey Restaurant and Guest House overlooks the water and has a holiday resort feel to its dining area. Starting to feel the pangs of hunger, we decide that before we leave Palm Beach we will grab a bite to eat. We park roadside, it’s one hour free parking as opposed to ten metres away in the parking lot where it’s metered parking with a minimum of four hours($ 8), we head to the restaurant. The Barrenjoey Restaurant and Guest House also offers, aside from its menu, the option of spending the night in one of its suites, ‘avoid the drive home’ it suggests. Romantic, yes, but clearly this kind of thinking is very short term. T-shirts are available in the lobby as a reminder of the time you ate a fish in Palm Beach, because that’s a memory worth saving forever. We sit down in their semi open courtyard, a three walled dining area, and take in the view. The restaurant is full of tourists, rich holiday makers and the elderly. We decide to get a Fruit de Mer to share,(Fruits of the sea), a plate full of fish, oysters and shellfish. The food arrives and it’s delicious, the Scampi are a favourite as are the Oysters. The waitresses are friendly, but it’s hard to grab their attention to get the bill, and the Maitre’D catches my friend off guard as he places a napkin on her lap and then I am left with an awkward wait as I know that he will soon approach my lap and I’m unsure of how to sit, whether to be expectant or to act surprised. It’s a little odd and I get through okay, if not a little shaken. Not a cheap eat, but a fancy one and in a peaceful setting a long way away from the city.
