Great place if you like an over complicated menu, staff with no personality who forget your order and a garden area that looks like it needs a total renovation! Oh and did I mention that waitress at the front counter who plates up cakes with her hands and delivery drivers who splash all their nights takings and start counting on the tables: not very professional guys!

Only ever had the bacon and egg roll and it’s great! Crispy bacon and a brioche roll. Always tasty and great for take away. The fresh juice was also delicious!

Micky’s Café is one of those places that you stop in ‘just to see’ and then, in the space of 2 weeks, you’ve dined in(and by you, I mean me of course!), ordered take away and found the perfect milkshake!!! Too many times to count… feeling a tad embarrassed but I’m ok with that because Micky’s Café is definitely worth it! Tonight, I had the $ 10 Thursday night special which was chicken schnitzel, mashed potatoes(you choice), and a salad. BESTSCHNITZELEVAH! I squeezed lemon on mine! The mashed potatoes were warm, not hot, but still very tasty. And the salad! Mixed greens with some really good dressing. And a milkshake to go home with… tonight I tried the Nutella Banana shake. So good. Up till now, I’ve only tried their chocolate shake… super de-lish! I think next time I’m going to try the Chocolate Crackle Marshmallow! Yowsa! I have not had a bad meal here thus far and as I said, in the last 2 weeks I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying their breakfast, the coffee(excellent!), and THEYDELIVERMILKSHAKES! Of course, they deliver food, too. The staff are all pleasant, friendly. The seating feels a little homey to me which I guess means I feel comfy when I’m there. You can dine inside, on the rear patio(heater lamps if it’s chilly outside!), and a second floor, too. Even though there is street parking, I have found parking easily every time I’ve gone there. And, yes it is metered parking but, after 7 pm no meters! Don’t take my word for it! Try Micky’s Café. Then tell your friends! 9-13-2015 Sunday Update: I am forcing myself to not be embarrassed to admit this: last night I picked up thick shakes for my family and of course, decided I had to, needed to try a new flavor. I can officially recommend the Honey Comb and Fudge thick shake. O.M.G. Make sure you try this place. After your first time, you’re going to be sooooo mad at yourself for not going over to Micky’s Café sooner!

Zero stars if I could. Sad as this place has been here for over twenty years and I have loved coming here. In recent times, in fact the last three; the service and attitude of the staff has been getting worse. On arrival I chose the large table with a lounge, but it wasn’t cleared and looked dirty. So I moved to a cleaner looking table. A waiter promptly came with water and delivered the menu. Nobody came to take my order for ten minutes. Where’s my waiter? Oh there he is — on a break in another booth. Finally another waiter comes and asks what I’d like to order and at the same time gets my coffee order. More waiting and more waiting until I thought that why should I disturb anyone to follow up my orders? Today was so bad that I got up and walked out after waiting for my desert and a coffee that never came. What a horrible place and absolutely shocking service! I’ve had the Micky taken out of me now — forever!

Mikey’s is so cool! Large menu with all amazing food, daily specials like $ 10 burgers, yummy smoothies, frappés, milkshakes and cocktails. The café seems to have young people there that always stuff up my order. Not to worry though, whatever I get(that i didn’t order) is yummy! Courtyard dining :p

was walking down paddington when just came across this place and I kind of felt like getting a hot chocolate so decided to stumble in there. Didn’t have a lot of time so was only able to stay for a quick drink but looking at the menu was mighty tempting. They have a wide range of options for the sweet toothed out there. Thick shake menu looks great and then the hot chocolate came in an option of either Chocolate Fudge, Honey comb and one other that slips my mind. I decided to order the Honey comb. It arrives and it had marshmallow and honey comb on the side of the plate as well as some more honey comb inside. Was beautiful. Perfect temperature and the chocolate was delicious as well. I will definitely come back to check out the rest of the menu. Friendly staff who even asked if I enjoyed it too…

This is the worst place I have ever been in my entire life. The service is horrible and the staff are incredibly rude. They make you feel like you are a burden for coming into THEIR restaurant. The menu is all over the place(tastes like plastic) and is so overpriced that I won’t be able to put my kids through college but what is even worse then the disjointed menu and the price is that they don’t spilt bills which makes it all in all a horrible experience. On the other hand the thick shakes are unbelievable and that’s the only reason I’d go. X

They had decent coffee but it wasn’t as epic as all of the single-origin roasters in town. Correct me if I am wrong though and they use single-origin coffee also.

Went here on a Thursday date night. I enjoyed the corn chips and dips and thought the sliders were so-so. One the night of the week we were there they had a $ 5 beer of the day, which was pretty good(we are still used to American prices, so that seems reasonable). The atmosphere was fun, and I like that they have boardgames to play while you’re waiting for your food. The most delicious item on the menu we had was dessert — the nutella and banana toastie! We will definitely come back — it’s my new local favorite.

Mars bar cheesecake thick shake — so much decadence in one glass! This is a cute diner-style place with an excellent drinks and desert menu — come hungry.

They have an amazing range of milkshakes and deserts. Went there after a movie at Verona and had a mars bar cheesecake thick shake and a sticky date pudding. Delicious!

The real knockout in this establishment are their banana smoothies. It might depend on who also makes them, yet every time I have come to hang out here(great lunch and hang out spot, either alone or with one other person) the smoothies are so indulgent and divine, and the ambience is quite civilised making it worth your while. A great, cosy café. Has stood the test of time, and there are no surprises as to why. A must visit establishment if you are ever in Paddo and you would like to recharge and/or unwind. Nice one!

This iconic local in Paddington brings in folks seeking good ol’ fashioned diner grub. And the guys here do it well. My wife had never been here before, so I took her for lunch the other day. They had a couple of old school booths at the front where one was free to seat on, but as soon as she saw the outside seating we nabbed a cozy spot under a cool massive tree. It was like a mini oasis. Now looking at the menu, it was exciting for the new timer. My wife has a sweet tooth so naturally got excited at the range of desserts, sundaes, cakes and especially the thickshakes. Can’t imagine finding that many flavours anywhere else in Sydney. But we were too hungry for dessert so we both had the Micky’s burger(mine was with the extras of bacon, gruyère cheese and dill pickles). It filled up us pretty quickly so unfortunately didn’t get to try their desserts. Definitely next time round. They also great daily specials and have $ 10 meals during the week which would probably keep this place consistently busy. Maybe we might see you there?

The great thing about Micky’s in Paddington is they are open until midnight, so you can go to a lateish movie at the Chauvel and then pop over for dinner. What is not so great is that the food is nothing special. It’s okay, but just okay. There is nothing on the menu, which really blows me away and I paid $ 28.50 for a Shepherds pie, which was basically like a $ 10 pub meal. However maybe customers have started feeling like I do and stopped going there as I have noticed they are now doing $ 10 special nights, such as a $ 10 Mexican night, although you have to add another $ 3 if you want meat!!! They also have a $ 10 burger night, pasta, fish and chips and schnitzel nights, this makes it more worthwhile. I think it’s popular as it is a trendy atmosphere. I would go back after the movies, but only for the $ 10 special.

Micky’s Café has had this large circle cut into the glass of one of the front windows for as long as I can remember. And it really worries me. On the one hand, there’s a clear safety issue, as a jewel thief has definitely used a diamond to try and cut their way into the store only to abandon their plan halfway through. And on the other, it might be a design choice that I’m just not cool enough to pick up on. As you can see, perplexing. As for what’s behind the glass, Micky’s is a cheerful little Oxford Street café with a great outdoor section. This tranquil place is perfect for your post-Chauvel coffee conversation, either if you’ve come from an evening session and are looking for a nightcap or if you’re fortunate enough to steal away from work and responsibility during the day and want to enjoy the afternoon air.

The thing that separates this café from so many others in the area(and there are a lot) is the outdoor seating. It is truly a tranquil setting with a canopy of tree’s shadowing a courtyard at the end of the café. The friendly staff always make you feel welcomed here, allowing you to tuck yourself away outside, away from the loud streets, the hot air, the overcrowded shops, so a long slurp of your amazing think shake. If you’re a local, and you just can’t seem to remember where you left your friends, it’s a great meeting place, as it’s all red on the outside, and everyone usually knows where it is. Also if you’re a freelancer around the area, it’s a café that doesn’t mind whether you sit on your laptop for a couple of hours, or have a coffee meeting, as long as you’re friendly to the staff, and get a coffee(or snack) at least once every couple of hours.

I used to love Micky’s, it’s a great old fashioned diner with comfy booth seating, a large courtyard and a smart upstairs dining room. Micky’s is open late, features a wide-ranging menu and loads of seating. The wide-ranging menu features a little bit of everything… fancy nachos? burgers? schnitzel? pizza? pasta? No problem Micky’s has your cravings covered. I want to say the food is good, but more often that not it’s disappointing — the breakfast’s a little greasy and the salad’s a little sweet. It’s not that the food is bad but for the prices it just needs to be better. It’s probably the result of having such a wide ranging menu, but this café lacks a little flavour. However, it is in the sweets and deserts that Micky’s hits its stride. The cakes and deserts are really very good and the thick shake menu is pretty impressive.
