Went many times, never a disappointment. Great food, staff, ambiance, and prices. Would recommend to anyone.

What’s a glutard doing in an Italian eatery? Caffe Amaretto is not my usual night out, but it’s my dad’s favourite local restaurant. This place is consistently busy because of the incredible service and the personal touch. The owner and maitre de remembered where we previously sat and what I ordered 3 months prior. Impressive! The restaurant is on a busy corner bordering Tuart Hill and Osbourne Park. Once you get out of the city you realise how big the dining areas are in suburbia. Café Amaretto has a large dining room, split into two levels, making it ideal for group celebrations. It’s not a particularly intimate or romantic space, tables are set plainly and there’s some token fake vines strewn around the place, but I always see couples on dates(nawww). The food is what you want from a neighbourhood restaurant: hearty servings and friendly service. As a gluten-intolerant soul, Italian restaurants are not my usual haunt but the staff are very helpful in making gluten-free alterations to the menu. I either get grilled baramundi or marinated lamb cutlets with a side of gluten-free chips, steamed vegetables and my favourite friend — avocado. My dad who is a meat phene rates the carnivorous menu items highly — and they also look after his requests for no marinade and a side of grilled mushrooms which is not on the menu. A 3 star street view, 4 star food and a 5 star heart!

Casual and friendly atmosphere. We had pizzas and pasta. Lots of bread and olives and sausage before dinner. Mains were in the $ 20s. Steaks were in $ 30s. Size of plates were large. Lovely atmosphere for a large family outing of more than 20.

What a waste! $ 45 for the junkiest breakfast. Don’t waste your time or money people. Not only was the breakfast sloppy but the customer service was terrible too! If I could give this place a minus in stars I would! Two thumbs down for this one

Came here tonight for coffee and cake. Good, prompt and friendly service. Nice coffee and delicious cheesecake. I now look like a fat budha.

I have visit this place twice for breakfast, and both experiences were below average. Today was particularly bad as the staff were having a verbal fight behind the counter which was very unprofessional and embarrassing. The staff had poor serving skills and weren’t friendly at all.

Have had pizzas, pastas and icecream here — pizzas are very nice indeed with lots of flavours while the icecream has that amazing Italian hand-made taste to it. Staff are friendly and helpful with the menu choices.

I have always driven past this place thinking one day I will eat here! I tried to make that dream happen the other day. I walked in and after a short wait the snobby middle aged mutton dressed as lamb matre dee came to the door and greeted me. I asked for a menu, this lady in that short time was so uninviting, short with me and bordering rude that it was a bit of a shock. It was a really nice looking restaurant and I have heard people saying it is good, as I became more and more annoyed about being ignored when the lady was standing less than a metre away, being the stubborn bitch I am left straight away this lady was a complete bitch.

This is a good place to come with a group of you as you can be loud and noisy. We came here with a bunch of chatty mums, needless to say we were the loudest ones in the restaurant, don’t com here if you are after a romantic meal with your loved one as you will probably just get mums like us speaking loudly about what you are talking about and whether she is not good looking enough for him. I had the Penne Chicken Vodka which was pretty tasty, it didn’t taste like vodka, but I am blaming the pasta for my drunken antics that night, the Sicilian Pizza was also really yummy. The service is is good and it was a very pleasant evening all round.

Amaretto is one of the long running Italian restaurants in Perth. As such it has a loyal returning clientel that fill the majority of the customer base. This can often lead to a slack in the level of service provided and although I have headr some people comment about that fact here I have no noticed. It isn’t the fanciest or most modern Italian in Perth but it is good, reliable and tasty. One of the things I really like about their menu is the option or order a small or large pasta dish as I can never finish the huge dishes some restaurants serve.

Three of my girlfriends and I went for lunch to Caffe Amaretti and between us ordered a BLT, the brushetta, a spinach and ricotta crêpe, the arachini balls with rice and egg and a tomato/meat sauce. All were entrée sizes and ranged between $ 15 – 20, for the price the portions were huge and definitely enough for a main meal. They weren’t anything fancy but they were very flavoursome and that’s really all that matters. Amaretto’s is perfect for those with a hearty appetite for homestyle Italian with only a few bucks to spare.

I grew up in Amaretto’s. Ok, technically I didn’t, but you know what I mean right? I spent many a birthday here, both mine and other people’s, I spent mother’s and father’s day here, anniversaries, first dates, and all other important occasions in one’s life. In fact, I went there a few weeks ago for a baby shower lunch, after the real baby shower was unfortunately cancelled. The pizza is a must, although they only serve it after a certain time. The seafood is great too, and they have these awesome hand-cut potato chips they serve with the calamari(a personal favourite). Strangely, they also have this delicious salad dressing they put on their side and garden salads, and I always make sure to ask for extra when I’m there. Overall, a family run quintessential Italian restaurant. After living in Italy for two years, I enjoy going to Amaretto’s so that the sites and smells of the food and drink remind me of the wonderful time I spent in Italia!

One of the most under appreciated restaurants in Perth. Everyone says it’s average and this and that. But personally I believe Italian doesn’t need to be showy or fancy but it needs to be hearty, flavoursome and average priced. It’s on a main corner right in Osbourne Park. We’ve taken guests from Italy there and they have also raved about the food. Look, it probably isn’t the best Italian in Perth. But it’s relaxed, the wait staff are lovely, it’s reasonably priced and they have ice-cream in the shape of pasta! You can’t really ask for anything else!
