We arrived at 8:45 pm with a group of 6 hungry and ready for dinner. We said hi to the servers and greeted some people we knew there. Menus in hand, we began planning our meal and got a table. Waitresses notified us we had to order at the bar multiple times around 9 pm. A few minutes after 9 we had our order ready, but as we attempted to put it in, we were told the kitchen was closed. Nothing could be done at that point we were told. Everything else was closed at that point. Night ruined. How were we not notified the kitchen was closing???

Wednesday lunch was pretty quiet early on. However, my server was excellent, and came to take my order at the table rather than wait for me to come to the bar. Fresh beers from 4 Pines were delicious, and the Lamb & Chorizo wrap looked nice and was well cooked(with cool curly fries!), but there was significant gristle in the meat chunks. Couldn’t tell if it was from the lamb or the chorizo — tasty enough, but would be improved if more of the gristle was trimmed out first. I’ve heard great things of some of the other dishes, so intend to come back when next in Orange, to give the place another try.

Sydneyesc but in Orange! This great little bar and grill is the perfect place to go if you’d like quality food(of tapas style) with nice surroundings. Good portion sizes for 2 – 4 people per share plate and a good selection of wine. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and lamb skewers! Also can’t go past the curly fries & aioli — very yummy! Cost? 2 small starters, 2 share plates and 2 drinks totaled $ 64. I’ll be back!
