I had the Mediterranean pizza and it was excellent. It was fully of tasty vegetables and the olives and olive oil gave it a great flavour. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back again.

Formerly Eagle Boys Seaford, this family-owned business has gone independent. With a new store at a new location, I couldn’t wait to try their new offerings to see how they faired compared to the previous standard they had set. Arriving at 6pm on a Sunday evening, pizza was just 20 minutes away. The new store is larger than the old one and will feature a sitting area in the near future. I ordered 4 pizzas off their menu to try with my family — a Hawaiian, a Steakhouse, a Honey Soy Chicken and a Mediterranean. The Hawaiian had a nice rich tomato sauce. Even though it was on the cheaper end of their offerings, it still didn’t fail to satisfy. Ingredients were fresh and unlike other takeaway pizzas, the base was not as greasy. Another huge win was with the crust which was very crisp. The Steakhouse is — in essence — a revised of the Butcher’s Block pizza that was offered when the store was operating under the Eagle Boy’s franchise branding. Topped with a hollandaise sauce, this pizza takes meatlovers to a whole new level. For the most part, this was just as good as the Butcher’s Block, but the addition of smokey steak provided extra flavour. One of the pizzas I was really interested in trying was the Honey Soy Chicken. Perhaps more on the abstract end of the pizza spectrum, this pizza was topped with pineapple, sesame seeds, honey-soy chicken, capsicum and onion. This strange creation did not disappoint and has actually become a new favourite of mine and several other members of my family. I highly recommend trying this new pizza. The Honey Soy Chicken combined your typical Western style Chinese food with your typical pizza takeaway. Not only was the honey soy chicken done as well as most Chinese places I have been to, the fact it was on top of a pizza made it an excellent feat of culinary engineering. Last, but by no means least, was the Mediterranean. A vegetarian pizza topped with feta, capsicum, spinach and olives. More flavoursome than a vegetarian pizza, the mediterranean was tasty and filling — something that not all vegetarian food can necessarily do well. In summary, the Pizza Club builds off the Eagle Boys experience, which I was already a fan of, and delivers a refined and fresh version of pizza takeaway. It bridges the gap between what you consider takeaway quality and what you consider as being restaurant quality. With even the gourmet pizzas, branded as being ‘The Club’s Finest’, being priced at a mere $ 13.95, it still has the ‘good food, good price’ approach that the store had before becoming independent.
