Went to lunch at verve bar and kitchen this week. I had a warm vegetable chicken salad. The serving side was huge and I really enjoyed it. The service was lacking a little. They forgot to bring drinks and also forgot the chicken ok my salad but brought is separately relatively quick. Not w bad place to stop and have lunch while shopping. We sat inside but they also have seating outside which is great when the weather is nice to get away from the shops for a bite to eat.

Our friends recommended this place as a good place for a feed before going to the movies on cheap Tuesday. They have half price schnitzels on Tuesday’s making our night even more affordable. Our food came out really fast, was tasty and I shouldn’t have eaten it all but I did… I was so so very full I needed to roll out of there! I had mushroom gravy which was full of big halves of Botton mushrooms, very nice!

We booked in for Mothers Day breakfast today and everything was perfect! The online booking was easy, the staff were very friendly, service was prompt and they were able to cater for both of our multiple dietary requirements, even to swap out a mint for a marshmallow without us asking. My eggs were spot on and the three egg omelette(I had it the other day) is very nice.

If your wanting a great deal for a movie and dinner package at Marion then this place is the place to be. For $ 35 you can enjoy any main meal and movie — now that is money well spent. Just be aware though that the movie voucher is not valid for sessions from 5pm onwards on Saturday. Unfortunately we were given the wrong information from another waitress but the owner was extremely helpful and manage to get us tickets that we were able to redeem that night. He went out of his way to assist and was lovely to chat with — not everyday you get such great hospitality. To get best value for my buck I had the steak. The food was good enough, no complaints. I observe with interest that this joint has something on literally every night. There is salsa, poker, quiz nights, live music and even a blooming magician! I find it a rarity to find a joint with so much thought put into entertainment so accolades for making the effort!

Verve Bar & Kitchen is located where in Marion Shopping centre, upstairs and out the back where Shananigans used to be back in the day. I went there on a Thursday night with my Dad and my brother. My old man had been hearing about this place for weeks from his colleagues, not because of the food(which I would rate as average pub level with good portion sizes) but because of a Magician who performs table side shows every Thursday night. Now, I have to admit, I love magic and I love magicians. I’m not one of those people who want’s to know how they do it, I’d rather just open my mind and be amazed. It’s way more fun. This show was awesome, well worth the $ 20 I paid for my gigantic beef parmy. The Magician was friendly and quickly made you feel comfortable rather than anxious as to what was going to happen. I’d reccommend heading into Verve(on a Thursday) to anyone with kids or anyone who likes to have fun. Personally, I think it’s probably one of the best places ever for a first date, as no matter how awkward things start off, magic is a tremendous ice breaker and provides you with a topic to bond over once the show is over.

Went here for dinner with my husband and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the food was good and they had live music(Friday night) which was great. The servings were huge(I almost filled up on the side dish of onion rings with aioli). We had the chicken mignon and the steak and Guinness pie, both were really nice. I would happily eat there again.

Came here for lunch, was a week day so wasn’t very busy, have been here for drinks a few times in the evenings and can get busy for food. I had a Bacon, Tomato and Rocket sandwich, the potions was big, didn’t manage to finish it but was nice and was a reasonable price. The staff was friendly.

I came here for my work Christmas party and I enjoyed my time here. I had been to this venue before when it was S-Bar but it has recently turned into Vevre. The bar staff were OK friendly-wise and happily made the drinks we requested, although they didn’t have some of the ingredients for the cocktails we liked. It was a Friday night, it was busy when I first got there about 8pm, but as 10pm approached the crowd had thinned out a lot. There was live music for a bit early on, then it changed to old school music. My boss organised food platers for us and they were pretty impressive(pizza, chicken skewers, potato wedges and croissants). The cocktail I did have(Barbara) was very strong, and I wouldn’t recommend it, but the Midori and lemonade was nice and refreshing. This place is ideal for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night drinks, dinner on the weekend, and there is also a function room upstairs.

Dinner at Verve Bar & Kitchen promised so much but I have to be totally honest and say that it just missed the mark for me. Location number one for dinner on a Wednesday night meant and 10 minute wait and as I’d had a light lunch and was ready to eat just about anything my friend and I went for a wander around the other restaurants /pubs at Marion(just outside the Cinemas) to see what else was available. Reading the menu outside Verve Bar & Kitchen we were approached by the world’s bubbliest waitress who encouraged us to come inside and promised we’d be happy we’d done so. I have to say this girl was an amazing asset to this business and she had pretty convincing sales skills as well. Apparently their beer battered chips were the best in the world! I was in search of a lower cal option so I asked about the Oven Roasted Chicken with Asparagus, Potato and Crispy Fried Proscuitto. I was told the meal was divine and I should order it. My less adventurous friend opted for a Beef Parmigiana. All I can say is when the food came out, I had food envy! My $ 10 more pricey choice was half the size of my friend’s parmi and to my total disappointment both my chicken as asparagus were overcooked. Miss Bubbly came back to ask about our meals and I did have to tell her that I was a little disappointed with mine. My friend however, threw back the Beef Parmigiana with gusto — I did have a taste and it was good. The offer was made to send my meal back to the kitchen but I declined and thanked Miss Bubbly for at least offering to do that. I felt really bad for this girl because she was such a good waitress who clearly cared if her diners were enjoying their experience. Not to be deterred though, she did inform us that Tuesday nights were 2 for 1 Parmi nights at Verve and she hoped that we would come back. Maybe we’ll give it another go.
