A tried and tested breakfast option in Nundah village. I’ve been going here for years and love the cheap ‘all day breakfast’ which will set you back all of $ 7. Great if you feel like something simple and not too huge in the morning! The service is always friendly and fast and the coffee is pretty good too. The owner is always happy and smiling. Have tried the French Vietnamese dinner here on two occasions and it was beyond incredible. Give it a go! It can be very busy on weekend mornings, so if you’re up early, you may be lucky!

Great value. Less than $ 8 will get you bacon and eggs at this café. The coffee is very decent and the service is fine. If you prefer a queue and paying lots of money for your breakfast then simply pop across the road to Jam 4012. However if you enjoy exceptional value and good quality, then you won’t be disappointed at Simply Duo.

My favourite place for a weekend breaky. Small and hidden away, its the gem of nundah. but get in early as often it gets quite packed in the morning.

By day, Simply Duo is a simple little café with good priced breakfast and lunch. By night — it’s a Vietnamese restuarant! While I’ve not yet had the pleasure of eating dinner at this little spot in Nundah just yet, I throughougly enjoy their breakfast menu. They have a basic bacon/eggs/tomato/toast option that’s only $ 7.90. During my most recent visit I ordered a smoked salmon and scrambled eggs dish that was delicious! It came with fluffy scramble, three slices of smoked salmon and delicious sourdough toast. Not sure what brand their coffee is but it’s always quite drinkable and never burnt. However — Simply Duo doesn’t have hash browns on their menu. This makes me a little bit sad as I am a big fan of the humble hash brown. That aside, Simply Duo is one of my favourite places to go for a simple breakfast that’s friendly to my bank balance.

Simply Duo? How about, simply delicious! Have been to Simply Duo a couple of times, both for a weekend breakfast. They open at 7am so are great for when I wake up early and want a nice weekend feed. Prices are reasonable, and the breakfasts are nice and simple. Eggs, bacon, avocado, mushrooms and a slice of toast made up my most recent breakfast. All fresh and well cooked. The mushrooms are great, though I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re just fried up in some butter. I got this for about $ 15, probably a bit under. The rest of the menu sits around that price and offers what you would find on most Australian breakfast restaurant menu’s. They use their mushrooms and avocado quite eagerly on the menu — which is great for those of us who appreciate it. What they don’t have is hash browns, which though my partner and I love them, actually makes our breakfast choice a lot easier. And most likely healthier. Simply Duo seems to be run by a family, though I can’t be sure. Whoever you get served by is generally cheerful and friendly. A good local business. The coffee’s are nice and go down well with breakfast. The actual shop is long and narrow, and seats around 30 people. There is some outdoor seating just out the front as well. It’s warm and inviting, not over decorated, but has a homely feel to it. What I haven’t been to yet, and am itching to get to is dinner at Simply Duo. From Wednesdays to Saturdays they open up as a Vietnamese restaurant! The menu isn’t huge, but offers a wide variety of dishes, and from all reviews I’ve heard good things. I think it’s a great idea for them to be opening almost as two separate restaurants — at least my interest is piqued!
