I have to agree with marym’s review. The Nunawading maccas just doesn’t live up to the normal standard. And don’t get me started on the drive thru!!! I only very rarely visit this maccas as the one on the corner of Springfield and middleborough is closer. For the first time on Wednesday I actually remembered to check my order before I drove away(yes I agree this is partially my fault but then again they are paid to read the order and put it in the bag!) and lo and behold this is the first time in probably 10 times I have actually received everything I ordered. My biggest gripe– when they forget to put in the happy meal toys. Do you know what 2 upset kids sounds like? Hell, it sounds like hell! ;)

Nunawading McDonalds shouldn’t pride itself on being fresh, fast or efficient, because it is anything but this. Usually, the service is slow because they seem to be understaffed with one or two team members running around helping several people at once. I often find the chips to be soggy or old, the nuggets to be close to stale and if I decide to get a salad, the lettuce to be a little off coloured. They do have days where they live up to the McDonalds standard, but more often than not I walk away wishing I hadn’t attempted to satisfy my cravings of the golden arches. They have forgotten various items in my drive-thru meal before, usually just sauces. On one occasion, they forgot my nuggets, I called to complain and the manager mailed me a $ 5 gift voucher to spend on my next visit. If you want good, fresh McDonalds, drive the extra 5 – 10 minutes and go to the one on the corner of Doncaster and Blackburn Roads. Having said that, convenience is the reason I always find myself coming back, after all it is ‘fast’ food.
