The mighty, oh how they fall. Cold pies and sausage rolls that crumble in all the wrong ways. I was brought along by a friend who was excited to break me away from my Villis addiction, but even he left sad. The rude staff, Just rounded out this as a terrible experience.

Stop by this place at least once a fortnight and the staff know my order as «the usual» the food is amazing mainly the ned kelly pie and who could forget the large cream/custard log(yummy). The staff are amazing and its very rare to find a shop open 24⁄7. They do everything including burgers, hotdogs… etc. It is like your one stop food shop! You can even get your loaf of bread there too. Coffee is not 100% but its most certainly better than some I have had in the past. All in all, best place for culinary delights.

I am shocked I have never stopped in this café before. I didn’t know that they were open 24⁄7. Even though I have now noticed a crazy big sign saying that they are! Isn’t it funny how you overlook things that are straight in front of you sometimes. I feel like I have missed out with this café. It has been open for years. 24⁄7 Bakery is perfect on the way home from town. And it is just on my way home, so expect my return Enjoy Café! Ok, so the décor is not flash. But, these guys are all about the quality baked goods. Not décor. So many amazing looking cakes, pies, pastries, and sandwiches. You can also see the bakers out the back busy folding pastries during the day. One of Enjoy Café’s specialties are pie floaters. Yes! Best in winter, although I have not tried one, I plan to return to get into one soon. Such awesome English dish that I think more people need to embrace. I stopped in for a quick bite and a late brekkie; dove into an apple Danish and coffee. Ok, well the coffee was not the best(but I am super fussy with coffee), but the pastry was really lovely. Flakey pastry and sweet cooked apple in the middle. I will update this venue when I try their famous Pie Floater.

24 hour bakery is life. These guys know how to make fantastic sausage rolls, they’re killer! All the sweet stuff looks and tastes really good to! The donuts are little on the dark side — but I’ve worked in a bakery making donuts and so I’m really picky with them. The prices are reasonable and here’s the kicker SAUCEISFREE! tomato sauce for 50 cents is the most ridiculous invention ever and it should never be a thing ever. these guys have got it right

This is for the lunch bar in Norwood Place( ). Apart from the«no rolls until 11a. am» thing, this place is great. Prices are good, there’s a great range of gluten free, allergy noted and other such products, which is a very good thing indeed. But best of all are the rolls. I swear, I haven’t had a salad and leg ham roll like this in *years*. Everything was so fresh, it really did taste as if it had been in the garden not ten minutes ago. The lettuce was crisp, the carrot was carroty, the cucumber had flavour and the tomato actually tasted like a tomato! How often do tomatoes now taste floury and flavourless? Not here. The bread itself was good too, a nice, flaky crust and then soft dough. I’ve been daydreaming about the rolls here for the last few days! Highly recommended.

Well I feel like I am always here ;) Few of my faves : Steak and Guinness pie. Not a poor imitation pie it’s actually very good ! One of the custard cream filled eclairs to wash it down too. And need I say it’s open 24/hr? Damn it’s a rough life.

Found this little outlet in Norwood Place and was a hive of activity. There was a constant stream of customers so the cakes, pies and yeast buns must be good. Couldn’t resist buying some ½ price family sized pies and my boys will be happy with the donut and berliner. The man behind the counter Rob was very pleasant and updated me that they will soon be selling gluten free products. I was impressed when I went to walk away he remembered my name so I’ll be back.

It’s 3am, you’re hungry, and there’s no food in the house. Where else to go but to Enjoy Café Bakery! A 24 hour bakery should get several stars just for the concept, but luckily this place also delivers on customer service and great food and drink offerings! I love going here at 6am on my way to work and grabbing a bacon and egg roll and a coffee, and it comes to under $ 10. The coffee is great and there are some more unusual pie offerings for those of us who are not that interested by the regular beef pie(think kangaroo, chicken parmagiana and curry lamb)! Every time I have been here, often at random times at night, the staff have always been incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s always a pleasure to go here as I feel truly welcomed by the staff. Give them a try, even if there are other things open at the time!

Heard so much about it and finally had the chance to try it a couple of weeks back. Looking for a late dinner option, I got the speciality Curry Lamb pie. I don’t usually eat lamb, but I definitely didn’t regret it! Very delicious and at a good price! What best is, this is open 24 hours!

Not many café bakeries around Adelaide will have a Butter Chicken pie on the menu, and that’s not the only unusual fare you’ll find here. The best thing is the twenty four hour seven days a week deal. Why you know what that means don’t you? Munchies are available whenever you need them. Obviously there is no connection between this café and the all night bakery in North Adelaide, and the menu’s quite unique here because it is not so much your Aussie traditional bakery although there are plenty of traditional items here — it’s a lot more new age new world multicultural wrapped in an outer shell of pie crust. Yum.

These guys deserve a medal. It may not sound like a big deal, a bakery being open 24 hours, but as an ex baker, I know what it’s like getting drunk people knocking on the door at 4am screaming ‘give us a pie!’. It can be really distracting. So yeah, if you’re hungry, and its early(or late) stop in here and try a pie, or a donut, or whatever you feel like, but keep in mind these people are trying to work.

This place deserves all five stars. One star for the food. Four for the service to the community. Seriously, a donut sounds like an awesome idea at three in the morning, after you’ve had about seventeen-too-many shots of vodka and can barely walk straight. And when you’re in the condition, so shit-faced that you can’t even say the word ‘donut’ without losing two litres of saliva on the top of the pie warmers, this place is the best place in the world. My heart really goes out to the guys and girls working here. Dealing with some shockers on a regular basis(and yes, I’m probably one of those ‘shockers’ on occasion), it must be hard to stay friendly and happy-sounding, and yet they manage it. Great place.

Before Enjoy Café Bakery opened, I’d always wondered why you couldn’t get a minced beef pie late at night — they’re a great pre-emptive strike for a hangover, and preferable eating from numerous burger chains as an end-of-the-night hunger solution. Then Enjoy Café Bakery came along and gave us 24 hour pastries! One of the best items on the menu is the South Australian classic ‘pie floater’, a minced beef pie immersed in pea soup. It looks and sounds disgusting, but I stand by it as one of the most tasty and wholesome meals you can get at a late hour. Enjoy Café nails it, with a huge bowl of pea soup and their delicious traditional beef pie in the centre, topped off with a swirl of ketchup. Becoming a true South Aussie starts at trying a pie floater at least once! The customer service is also exceptional. I’m not sure about nowadays, but when they first opened there was an old lady that ran the shop late at night, and she was always super friendly and would ask what I had been up to that evening. Even when were stumbling through talking absolute nonsense, she never lost her patience and often joined in on the laughter.

Enjoy bakery is a lifesaver. It is open 24hrs and perfect for when you are hungry at strange hours of the morning. It is also the perfect alternative to McDonalds; because really that is your only other option after midnight. Many times after a heavy drinking session I have stumbled in at 3am in the morning and gorged on their greasy delights. I have to recommend their cheese and vegetable pasty. It is the best pasty ever, not what I expected from a 24 hour bakery. The pasty is crumbly and light and the filling has just the right amount of cheese. Their donuts are also to die for, especially the sprinkle ones. They are not too heavy, which is great cause I find that a lot of donuts can be. The service is not overly friendly, but they put up with you no matter what state you are in. They have quite a bit of seating inside, but it fills up quickly during lunch times and on the weekend. If you do head there in the early hours of the morning, expect to put up with some intoxicated company or grab your food to go.

This 24-hour calorie repository seems to fit the standard of mass producing bakery. They offer your average range of baked goods. Breads, pies(both savoury and sweet), pasties, sausage rolls, buns, doughnuts, lattices, tarts, eclairs, and etc, and etc, and etc!!! Most everything I just mentioned comes standard or in a cream filled option. The cream I’ve found is quite bland and seems to just be a space filler and baked good awe inspirer. Their chocolate doughnut covered in sprinkles, sliced into a cross section, and filled with jam and cream, is the perfect midnight munchy treat. You can get coffee and the newspaper there as well, so it’s a great place for a quick breakfast. Especially if you feel like breakfast at 4:20am, because it will be one of the only place’s open!

This Parade Bakery icon sits very nicely among the category of other 24 Hr bakeries available around Adelaide. Obviously the fact that it is open WHENEVER you want is an obvious plus and puts it a step ahead of other bakeries. It does an excellent trade both during the day and evening, catering to the working and shopping crowd on the Parade and then the after five, slightly drunken crowd. There is ample seating(unlike the 24 Bakery on O’Connell and Wi-Fi access. I was there once around 1amish on a Saturday night and saw a whole class full of students typing something up on their many laptops supervised by their teacher… Don’t know what kind of odd school that was but at least they had plenty of baked goods at their disposal. That same time I was also served by a friendly young man who told me it was his first shift. He told me he’d been on since 8pm and wouldn’t be finishing until 3am and was struggling with his new working hours. I felt for him but was pleased that he was friendly and comfortable enough to share his sleep deprivation with me. There is a huge range of different pies, I’d recommend the steak and mushroom and HAVE A JAMBERLINA. They’re really good if you can wait to heat it in the microwave when you get home, or ask sleep deprived man if he can maybe do it for you.

The Enjoy café bakery is just around the corner from where I study art, and occasionally if I forget to bring some lunch I will stop in there for a quick cheese and veg pasty or chili kransky. It is a fairly no frills environment, but there is indoor and outdoor seating. There is a wide range of baked goods on offer as well as sandwiches, bacon and egg rolls and also the iconic pie floater. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, which is surprising considering they are obliged to work so many hours. As Lana has pointed out, the bakery operated 24 hours a day, however, a word of caution, there is a police station about 100m down the road from the bakery and it is somewhat of a drink driving trap, so take a taxi, or the bus or walk.

24HOURCAKEPEOPLE! Listen up: I was excited when Enjoy Café Bakery opened its doors on The Parade, and chiefly for this reason: I could obtain a chocolate donut at ANY time of the day or night. Just *knowing* I can do this makes me at least 23% happier. Open 24/7, Enjoy has been a drunken pit stop(I’m sure their staff have seen a drunken thing or two), an early morning dash to nab a bacon and egg roll(which are really good), an afternoon sweet treat destination, and everything inbetween. Yes, I’ve patronised this place a lot. And almost every time I’m there, it’s pumping. This is partly because of sheer range: it’s a huge bakery with lots to choose from, from chips to danishes to baguettes. It’s also the fact that it is(unlike many other business in Adelaide) open 24/7, so has smartly manoeuvred itself into a position of having little to no competition — particularly in the area. Staff response to the ever present lineup situation, however, is variable at best. Sometimes there will be multiple staff to help out, sometimes one poor person is left to deal with it on their own — inevitably a bit of a wait ensues and I have been given the wrong change twice by understandably flustered counter staff. The food is good — not great. It’s fresh(they bake on site) and the selection is good, but the pies/sausage rolls etc fall down in not being as piping hot as they should be. I know everyone has different tastes, but a lukewarm kransky? Yeah… it’s just not that appealing. Overall, Its primary charm is that it’s open ALLTHETIME(refer paragraph 1); the fact that it has a wide range of goodies, and that it has zero local competition. So for now… it remains my 2am chocolate donut destination.
