My kind of small bar. Great range of gins — absolutely love this place. Staffs here makes a great difference to the place.

As a gin lover, I was chuffed to be taken to this bar on a recent visit to Perth. There’s countless options for those partial to the ol’ juniper juice. Take a look at the list of suggested gins of the moment, or delve deeper in to their collection to be taken on a wild and wonderful journey. The team here are happy to guide you, also making suggestions about how best to enjoy your chosen tipple with a variety of garnishes available to match. I especially enjoyed a saffron infused gin that was savory and complex.
Pro tip: on a sunny day score a seat outside.

Love this tiny little bar in Northbridge. They always play a fantastic mix of music (they had Sound of Music one night when I was there).
Great range of drinks and all the staff are really friendly and look like they love their jobs.
You won’t find any of the wanky attitude you get at some Northbridge and City establishments and it’s very refreshing to feel instantly welcome.

Small bar that specialises in gin. Not all encompassing tho as they didn’t have some of my faves, but maybe they rotate the stock (?) pretty pricey, even for Perth. Staff are really friendly and pretty casual. Would go again.

Attended orphans’ Christmas dinner here. What an experience! Thanks to all the staff and organisers for great effort. A huge selection of cocktails and spirits available here. They specialise in gins. A must go to place if you are in Northbridge area and looking for nice cosy place to hangout with friends wanting to try gin. Their alcoholic ginger beer is nice too. Will be back to try more drinks on the menu.

Always having wanted to go a bar that is exclusively focused on gin, my friends and I made this our second stop of our girls’ night out.
I ordered one of their ‘low calorie’ options — their gin with soda, apple, mint and lime. My friend ordered their gin with soda, rose water and cucumber.
Gin and Tonic being one of my favourite drinks I waited to be dazzled with my cocktail. Hmm. It tasted like a gin and Tonic. Couldn’t taste the apple, the lime or the mint. My friend’s drink was slightly better where I enjoyed the flavour of the roise but again no taste of cucumber.
Disappointed.
Didn’t have the food so can’t comment but they do hotdogs. :)
We sat outdoors with a slight cool breeze on a week summer evening. The inside of frisk bar is dimly lit and I found it too too dim for my liking. A bit creepy.

Rockabilly. Frisk serves quality cocktails and probably the most extensive range of Gin in Perth. I believe there is also a daytime coffee trade, but that’s not really my bag. As with all small bars, the experience is made complete by the staff, all of whom seem to be exceedingly hip, friendly and courteous. Slide up to the bar, order a Negroni, and forget about the horrors of the working day.

Rude staff, walked away ½ way through our order and kind of ignored us. Maybe we got it on the wrong night? Certainly had an odd vibe.

Frisk is amazing. Not only do they have sensational cocktails but they have a great vibe and unique draw cards that keep you coming back even on a cold, wet day.
Currently they are running a hot cheese wheel promotion. $ 20 gets you a hot cheese wheel stuffed with garlic and herbs, served with French bread and a hot mulled wine.
Be prepared to pay for extra bread $ 5 a plate

I drove into Northbridge a few weeks ago to meet up with hubby for a little «Friday Arvo Drinks», especially since I don’t work in the CBD anymore.
We strolled through Northbridge deciding on where to grab a drink as well as checking out to see what’s new and happening in Northbridge ツ
Hubby suggested Frisk Small Bar, so off we went. We have been to Frisk Small Bar a few times before and we both liked it. Frisk located at 103 Francis Street, is gin bar so if you like gin — that’s the place to go to! There are 209 varieties to choose from so do go wild Smiley
We arrived just after 4pm and there were couple of people there already. Most of the outdoor tables were taken, so we happily took the seating inside.
Hubby is a fan of cider so he ordered the Lobo Cloudy Apple and I am a fan of lychee… so I ordered ‘That Lychee One’ cocktail from the menu to try ツ
That Lychee One cocktail has gin, lychee, elderflower, mints, lemon and topped up with lemonade. I left the lychee to the very end and I must say — that was a potent thing to do but hey I like it!

Love this place! Staff are friendly and all dolled up in rockabilly punk and refer to dollar amounts in bones. They do a killer espresso martini and on this occasion I enjoyed a pink lady apple cider that I haven’t seen before, they stock a unique variety of bottled beers. Well worth a visit as they can create the best cocktails from anything imaginable and you get to enjoy a drink outside with tables on the footpath

Gin gin everywhere, I didn’t know there were that many types of gin or different ways to drink gin. If I was a gin lover, I would be in my element. Pity I don’t like gin but that’s not Frisk’s fault so it wouldn’t be right for me to give them any less than 4 stars.
Before Northbrdige started to develop into a hipster wonderland, Frisk was hanging in there all by itself, encouraging people to move away from the neon lights and luminous blue drinks to a more chilled and comfortable vibe.
They have a nice variety of beers, I tried the Anchor Summer beer and even took a photo of the label in case they stock it in Dan Murphy’s as it was really tasty.
I haven’t been here during the day but I feel like I should return and see how it feels with the sun shining through the windows and retry the Anchor, it would be rude not to.

I love Frisk. I just about live at Cinema Paradiso, which is just down the laneway. Frisk is my favourite place to have a drink and a chat either before or after a movie. I really like the vibe here, which is very cool but relaxed and puts me at ease. Verdict? Fab!

This is the only place that will get me out to Northbridge.
As everyone else has said, it’s tiny. But not obnoxiously or uncomfortably so. Maybe it’s because, unlike the other bars in the neighbourhood, people are pleasant??? Maybe it’s because gin drinkers are just better people???
Pick your gin and then ask the bartender for a rec. That’s how I became a believer in the magic of grapefruit in cocktails.

Very nice bar,
unfortunately many people agree with this statement and it does get crowded.
It is tucked in a quiet part of Northbridge with a great view to a red-​brick church.
They are trying to establish themselves in the gin niche, which causes an influx of hipsters (they flock like zombies). Just ignore them and enjoy your drink.

The most beautiful people work here.
They enhance your night through conversations. Oh, they also stir/​mix/​prep great drinks too.
Go to Frisk. Do yourself that favor.

Hidden in Northbridge away from the hustle and bustle sits this cute little coffee shop/​bar.
I visited this place last night with a friend and found out it is Hospo night — which means if you work in hospitality you can get a gin for $ 5!
The staff are extremely friendly good people and you get a proper serving of Gin and Tonic — they don’t fudge you with a tiny glass.
Atmosphere is not overrun by loud crazies, and I can imagine this would be a great date location.
The bar snacks are well priced (you can get them under $ 10 or I think a selection of 3 I think for $ 21). And the drink selection is solid.
I selfishly hope that this place doesn’t ever get too busy because I like it just the way it is — like a little secret spot in nb for good conversation, service, food AND atmosphere!

Many years ago, long before the building that houses Frisk was built existed a night club called DCs. It was something of an institution amongst my friends and I and we spent many of our weekends in our twenties partying under their roof until the sun came up. This is the place where many friendships were formed, relationships made and broken and brings a nostalgic smile to my face. When the building was originally bulldozed to make way for apartments it felt like an end of an era. As I took my seat at Frisk’s bar it dawned on me that I was sitting on what once was the dance floor and it made me so glad that at least it was put to good use.
Frisk’s bar houses more gins than you could shake a stick at so it seemed logical that this should be the theme of our night. I started off with the WA Gimlet; a refreshing cocktail made with locally distilled Westwinds Cutlass gin, fresh lime and basil and rose marmalade. The hints of herbs left a clean after-​taste and put me in a brighter and energising mood for the evening.

This is a cool little café by day and a hip bar by night!
When the sun is shining the barista busts out a pretty mean latte, then after the sun sets the friendly bar staff flex their mixologist muscle. Gin fans (me) will be pleased, with over 140 different bottles lining their shelves.
Definitely a more chilled option on a Friday night than a lot of other bars in town, which is very much to my liking!
