This place was funky with it’s mix n’ match 80’s décor. The food was good and my favorite dish was the mushroom risotto. I had a hot chocolate which had just the right amount of chocolate — lots. This café had a great atmosphere so I’m giving it 5 stars.

The coffee here is always beautiful, but I have to say I was a little disappointed in my breakky here the other day.
The eggs benny was overloaded with ham, which was sooo salty, I unloaded half of it onto the side of my plate. Don’t get me wrong, I love savoury, but this was overkill! It was cheap deli ham. Could be better… The hollandaise was too lemony for my liking, but the eggs were fresh and beautifully cooked.
Seeing pictures of the French toast makes me want to jump off the eggs benny train for a while. I will be back to diversify…

The Smith Street Store is a great place for breakfast. The food is good and the portions very generous. The coffee and hot chocolate is pretty decent and the prices make everything good value. I’m really very fond of this place situated away from the main café strips and full of warm character.
