I haven’t tried a Bad Boy Burger Bar before and I don’t know if I will be back, this experience wasn’t bad but it didn’t stand out either. We struggled to place our order, ordering two hot-dogs with a drink combo shouldn’t be too hard. We got our food after a short wait but it wasn’t fantastic, the hot-dogs were both missing the cheese we asked for and were quite dry and not too hot either. Chips were a nice inclusion however they didn’t have much flavour either, drink choice was fine for a small store. Overall if you’re after a easy meal and want something basic this is a good choice however my experience wasn’t stellar but I think there was some misunderstanding between myself and the cashier as to what was included with what I was ordering.

We went today with my husband and son. Menu is great so much to choose from! I got the chicken with tomato relish sauce and aioli. Oh my best ! It was a little messy but worth the mess. My husband got steak cheese salad. He loved it, and he’s really picky about his food. Bun was hot fresh and tasty! Chips I thought were great a bit thicker and has lots of chicken salt! Service was friendly too. We will be returning…

These really are Bad Boy Burgers. Conveniently located on Melbourne St, opposite the Majestic Hotel and close to several pubs and bars, Bad Boy is perfectly placed to fill your late night needs. Don’t be fooled by the name, the Healthy Burger is not. A fat, deep fried, crumbed vege patty filled with mashed potato and the odd corn kernel and pea forms the centrepiece. Salads and additional guacamole make up the healthy components. Then there are the sauces, lots of mayo and tomato sauce with grilled onions plus a generous slice of cheese. A glazed almost brioche bun encases the lot and looks pretty. It feels naughty. It tastes naughty. And in classic burger style the sauces, melted cheese and grilled onion ooze out while negotiating the Bad Boy into my pie hole. Just like when I was a kid, I made a huge mess with the burger! The dominating flavours were tang from the tomato sauce and sweetness from the mayo. It was more about the texture, the patties was crunchy, the bun fluffy and sauce dripping from my fingers. This is definately your ‘big night out’, soak up your troubles kind of burger, and not your virtuous Veggie Velo kind of everyday burger. Oh and get napkins — lots of napkins.

I had the Cajun burger and a side order of chips. The burger arrived solo and the chips were missing in action until I queried their whereabouts. Unfortunately, the chips arrived much too late and the waitress practically dropped the bowl of chips in front of me. Not impressed as they had clearly forgotten my order of chips entirely. As for the Cajun burger itself — it was forgettable. I had expected, with a name like Cajun burger, that it would be spicy and tasty. However, it was bland and boring. The chips were OK but still really hot while my burger was getting cold. I gave the meal 5⁄10. Wifey had the«Seafood Deal» but thought it too greasy. Not much seafood either — she scored it a 3⁄10. We left a lot of food uneaten. Service wasn’t very good either. I had great hopes for this place(love the name!) and was disappointed. Maybe the staff were having a bad day but I don’t plan on ever returning when there are so many other burger joints to explore in Adelaide.

I tried the amusingly named Ring Stinger here, with chilli in the patty, jalapenos and chilli sauce. It did not live up to its name, in my opinion, although it was hot enough without being so hot as to be unpleasant. We also got a serve of chips to share and this was a very large, generous bowl. My only wish was that they gave you more serviettes because their burgers are large and stuffed with ingredients, so pretty messy to eat!

Hmmm it wasn’t the best burger ever but maybe my burger expectations are quite high because of the likes of specialty burger joints going around — think Chuckwagon, Burgerstronomy and Burger Theory! They get props for burger cool names — I enjoyed a «Get Tazkiki With It», a you guessed it Greek themed burger. A yiros in a burger is how I’d explain it! The burger was tasty but not mind blowing. Chips were average, a bit too thick cut but I’m a fries kind of girl. The place doesn’t have the trendy vibe of the above mentioned so it feels more like a fish n chip shop that sells burgers. If you think of it more like that then you won’t be disappointed!
