When I was a povo uni student, a Sundays Everyday visit was a luxury. A meal at Sundays could keep me full for the rest of the day. Even after 10 years, they have retained their affordable prices. Everything on the menu is still less than $ 10 for a ginormous serve. I think the prices started at $ 6.90 for me? But don’t quote me on that as I have the memory of a goldfish. My go to dish on a «fat day» is the chicken karaage. The juicy, tasty, large chunks of chicken can be enjoyed either on a generous bed of rice or along side a bowl of udon noodles. This is by far the most popular dish at Sundays Everyday. Made fresh to order, it is one of the tastiest karaages I’ve had in Perth. On my «healthier days»(who am I kidding? I don’t have healthy days) I’ll either order the oyako chicken don(chicken and onion omelette) or the teriyaki fish don. They usually have a few of these made up and kept warm in the hot box ready to go. You can still request to have one freshly cooked if you don’t mind waiting 10 – 15 minutes. Funnily enough, Sundays Everyday is open for lunch everyday BUT Sundays! I wish they extended their hours to dinner because working full time means I am limited to visiting on Saturdays. And weekends are so precious I have to choose my eat outs wisely!

For $ 9.40 you get 9 huge pieces of nicely fried kaarage chicken, japanese mayo and rice. I sometimes get the agedashi tofu on the side as well. It’s a great meal, the chicken is tasty and juicy, and the large portion means I get leftovers. The lady at the counter is friendly and is always smiling; the service is fast. You get free tea and water if you’re dining in. It is cash only so come prepared or draw from the nearest ATM at the petrol station around the corner. They close early at 2pm and aren’t open on Sundays; and sometimes the place gets crowded, but definitely come by if you’re after good chicken, and lots of it.

Sundays Everyday is definitely the«Uni Student’s Choice» for simple Japanese food — it’s by far one of the most affordable places that I’ve ever come across. They have a cracker of a Chicken Karaage and the delicious Agedashi Tofu Donburi is not to be missed — although, I recommend not picking up the takeaway containers from the bain-marie; ordering fresh is best! It may be a popular place for economic reasons but I’ve found that beyond being value for money, the flavours are a lot more authentic than most Japanese eateries. My go-to dish every time is the Karaage Chicken Udon — they serve the crispy karaage separately so there’s no such thing as soggy chook!

Sunday’s everyday is ridiculously good! One of the best Japanese restaurants in perth. The price is good and the food quality & quantity is amazing! I personally like chicken karrage and chicken katsu curry. Amazing dishes! Very good customer service as well. Best place to have lunch during the weekdays and Saturday. Ironically, it’s not open on Sunday! :P

This place is ridiculously good. The portions are huge for the cheap prices! When I went, it was a Thursday for lunch and the place was packed. My friend and I were lucky to get a seat. Apparently they don’t do dinner, but it’s worth checking out! Thinking about their chicken katsu curry is seriously making me drool, despite the fact that I just ate haha. The girls who work there are absolutely lovely as well. Such good service!

If you love chicken karaage(and lots of it), then this is the place to go. Their portions are BIG, which means leftovers… yay! Only gripe is, the karaage was a little bit too salty for me but that’s a minor issue. Came here with mom & dad for lunch and surprisingly it was really quiet. Noticed most people were ordering take-away. The young girl at the counter was sweet and friendly, and happily answered my mom’s questions about the menu options. We ordered two serves of chicken karaage don and a bowl of teriyaki udon. Ended up with lots of leftover karaage that mom and I ate for 2 meals after!
