Good service, good food, friendly atmosphere. The food was fresh, presentable and plenty of healthy options.

I went in with the intention of having brunch at around 10:40 am. There were four of us and we were standing around the front of the Café where there was a long table overlooking the street. We waited for them to clear the table but when the lady noticed us, she said come around to the back because they had space there for four. So off we went and found a cute private area behind the café with a big table that could fit 8 – 10. We shared that table with four other people but ended up seated at the end in direct sunlight over two seats. Unluckily it was I in one of those seats and after only a few moments I literally felt sick from the heat. We decided to just grab cold juices — CAM; Cucumber, Apple & Mint($ 6.90), which were yummy and generous. They were served in those tin tall glasses typically used for milkshakes. I can’t say much about the food unfortunately but I didn’t feel like they took much care of us as customers. I had to question why we were moved from the front to the back in the first place. No one came later either to see if we were ok with our orders. It just didn’t feel right being there.

Great coffee and amazing service. You can also take your puppies and sit outside. Their breakfast and lunches look amazing — need to try them out sometime soon!

The coffee here is AMAZING! Super fast and amazing service as well. I work at a café, and this is close second to my favourite café in Brisbane. The vibe of the café itself is awesome, very cool and very hipster. Love the décor. I always get the avocado on toast and am never disappointed. A solid amount of avocado which is a must!

We can understand why Hallowed Grounds Espresso is held in such high-regard by Brisbane’s coffee-loving, & all-day-breakfast hunting public, as well as locals alike. Located on 1417 Logan Road, Mount Gravatt, Hallowed Grounds Espresso, has an eclectic retro vibe, with second hand artwork & posters for sale. There’s a mix of vintage pieces too, & even some funky looking chandeliers hanging from bed-springs, that hipsters would be proud of. Cakes, house-made lamingtons, ham & cheese croissants, sandwiches are available at the front counter, if you’re looking for something quick to «take-away». The menu is easy, with all day breakfast, & lunch options($ 6.50 — $ 22), a selection of hot & cold drinks, & of course, most importantly, coffee(by Elixir). The coffee was enjoyable(a «long macc» with almond milk), medium level of acidity & a chocolatey syrupy finish. Made for a nice combination with the almond milk. It’s comforting to browse the menu knowing there are options that won’t break your budget & caters to our vegetarian friends. All day Breakfast, appealed the most on this occasion, & we went with: (1) «Nana’s love» $ 15; special savoury mince, topped with softly poached egg, served on thick sourdough & caramelized onion jam; (2) «Breaky Bowl» $ 22(vegetarian); roast pumpkin, kale, haloumi, avocado, grilled tomato, crumbled feta, poached egg, topped with dukkah & served on a bed of spinach. Portions are plentiful & more importantly, both dishes were perfect! Inhaled«Nana’s love», & the plate clean, as the mince went so well with the onion jam, & the«Breaky Bowl» was so flavoursome. Vegetarians rejoice! Definitely a fan of Hallowed Grounds Espresso, for their friendly service, good coffee, & awesome all day breakfast menu. Loving all these family-owned cafes, that grace the suburbs of Brisbane. Tip: Plenty of parking in nearby streets(not the Main Road of course).

This place is great. Prompt, parking, indoor and out, good coffee, interesting menu, good price, baby chairs, cakes, kooky décor, and surrounded by shops you can browse later. The French toast bagel vas tasty!

This is one of my favourite coffee, used to work around the corner so was always stopping by for meetings, lunches, coffees and snacks. The staff are great, the atmosphere and decorations eclectic. The menu is always changing in order to keep the taste buds on high alert. The lamb burger is to die for! Apparently the milkshakes are awesome, the coffee is consistently well made. Everything I look for in a regular coffee shop.

.favorite.environment. Coffee, food served on chopping boards, plants. That’s my scene! Unfortunately I arrived at 2pm and kitchen was closed. However, the staff were apologetic and willing to inform me that they’ll be open for breakfast again in just a couple of hours. Haha! I love a café with a good sense of humour! Although I left with nothing today, the place was packed. I was able to have a nice chat with the staff, and witness people enjoying their coffee! That leaves me feeling happy and ready to pop back in this week.

One of the better coffee shops I had the pleasure of visiting while in Australia! A month ago, a friend of mine invited me to take advantage of a LivingSocial deal for this place, which was for coffee, a sandwich, and ice cream. By public transport, the shop was basically just across the street from the nearest stop. The shop was a bit smaller than I had imagined, but was neat and had tables inside and outside for a few people to sit at. I wanted something to drink while I was waiting for my friend to show up, so I bought a Mocha and tried to make myself comfortable outside. The coffee was mildly sweet with a pleasant, light cocoa flavor and a fairly strong coffee flavor, which is pretty much what I had asked for. I wouldn’t say I’m the most coordinated person, but sitting on the the stools with tables almost too short to put your legs under on the uneven pavement was rather awkward. When my friend came, we each ordered a sandwich using the deal. It’s been a while, but I think I ordered a mango chicken filo, which was decent. Something that my friend wasn’t expecting was getting to choose which drink she wanted; none of that«up to $ 3.50» shenanigans. I was even more impressed that they reimbursed me for the mocha I ordered before they knew I was going to do the LivingSocial deal; once they knew that I was doing that, the friendly cashier suggested refunding me. After the sandwiches, we brought out our laptops to study. I was able to get their wireless internet there after asking them for their password. Luckily, there were outlets available for us, but I wouldn’t count on them being available all the time. We took a break from studying by getting the last part of our deal, which was the ice cream. More love for this place, because the guy who served our ice cream gave us TWO scoops for our deal. Like the filo, I also found my cookies n’ cream ice cream to be decent, but I think my friend liked her flavor quite a bit. Overall, I was a fan of their polite and generous service and good quality food and drink in each category. It never became busy when I was there, but it was nice that they let us camp at that table for the better part of the day to study. If you ever find yourself in Mount Gravatt, give this place a look.
