I’m not much given to stereotypes(honestly) but those crazy Nords — tucked up there in the ‘lands of the never ending night’. It must be hard to get out of bed, let alone get out of bed looking all blonde and coiffed but it seems when they do come blinking into the sunlight of spring, heads heavy from too much sauna and vodka skulling, then you can be guaranteed that our Nordic brethren are a well turned out bunch. Stylish even. A little bit of that style has entered Mosman in the shape of Nordic Fusion — the very best in Scandanavian design. Be it a child’s first spoon, a necklace for your friend, a vase for a solitary rose or a clog for your foot — you kind for it here, in all its ergonomic, beautifully crafted glory. The stark white walls and up-lighting make the shop feel like a gallery and it’s with quiet appreciation that you walk around here. The prices are stylish too but are a touch upwardly. It’s IKEA plus and if you have the money then the plus is worth it. One small rant though, what is the fascination with flat teddy bears? What happened to bears with heads that swivel so they can talk to you? How are you supposed to hug a flat bear? Let’s not go there. That’s for another day.
