We randomly ended up here and were pleasantly surprised! Friendly staff, quick service, reasonable prices(mains were $ 11−16ish? As a vegetarian, I tend to pay little attention to the higher end of the price scale, which is always meaty dishes…). My food(the curry puffs and tom kah soup) was fantastic! My friends seemed to like their’s as well, though some of them felt like they were a bit too heavy on the meat and could have been balanced out with some veggies(e.g., the lemon chicken is ONLY chicken, lemon slices and sauce…). We got complimentary watermelon slices at the end, which was a nice way to finish the meal and refresh the mouth after all the spices. The décor is fine but nothing exciting. I loved that they had a separate vegetarian menu, but wish that there had been some descriptions on it.(I think these were somewhat lacking on the regular menu as well.) I had no idea what most of the things were… I did ask the waitress about a few but wasn’t going to go through the entire menu with her! Altogether, a very pleasant random find that I thoroughly enjoyed.

If you’re ever in Morley and need to find a decent restaurant for lunch or dinner, Chatters is always a good choice. Every time I eat here the food and service is consistently tasty and affordable. Fast service and a spacious dining area makes eating at Chatters a pleasant experience.

I came here by accident as The Seven Seas restaurant was close on monday night. Chatterz pride the fact that they have been in Morley for 10 years. I think the reason why they survive that long is because of the spacious environment. The service was fast, even though the waiter didn’t even know one thing that was on the menu.(Camomile Tea…) Food came really fast. My char kuew teow was overly oily and tasteless. They looked really delicious, i was fooled! We ordered tom kha chicken, but what came was tom yam chicken. Which was good and well-flavoured. My friend had fried bihoon, also looked appetizing, but was really undertaste. We wished we had brought our own tobasco or chili sauce from home to put a little flavour to our food…

I went to Chatters for a Mothers Day dinner and I was very disappointed. The floor under our table was very sticky and the décor was outdated. The food was very average but cheap. Probably wouldn’t go back as there are so many lovely restaurants across the road at Coventrys.

I wasn’t expecting much when I came here with a friend we just wanted something Asian and Basil&Mint in the Coventry Gardens market area was closed. Chatters was a small stroll away and in the end I was pleasantly surprised. The décor was a bit old school and tacky but the place was really clean and that is what really matters! The staff were friendly and we were served very quickly. The meals are all mid range in price I paid $ 13 for basil beef and $ 13 for a chicken satay dish. I asked for extra chili in both dishes and was really glad that I did, without that extra bit of spice I think the dishes would have been a bit bland. The basil beef was definitely the best out of the two dishes though and I would happily order that again(with extra chili!). My friend had the pad thai for $ 10, it was good but I found it a bit sweet. Also it doesn’t come with any protein so it would be worth the extra coin for some shrimp or chicken. For the price and for how close it is to home, I think I will be back again but it isn’t the hidden gem kind of place I will be telling all my friends about.

I think Chatters reminds me of the original Hans Café, before they got so big and the quality dropped a bit. The décor is modern with asian influences of bamboo and framed kanji writing on the wall. Before coming here I had heard from my friends that live local that is was a great meal and really good prices. They were absolutely right. Chatters is modern asian food at is best. The staff are friendly. Special orders are not even a slight problem and accepted happily. The prices are really cheap, the service quick and the food good. What else do you need?

I was excited when my friend suggested we try Chatters before our movie date at the Galleria. Awesome, I thought — a contemporary movie meal. Something different and unusual I haven’t tried before. Well, I hadn’t tried Chatters before but turns out it’s a lot like Han’s Café. Maybe not that different, contemporary or new. Hmmmm. But still a great feed at a great price. And they’re up on Han’s Café in one important area — customer communication and satisfaction. Whenever I used to go to Han’s I would engage in lengthy, in depth conversations about how I would prefer the vegetarian dish with a different sauce. Oh my God. Complete pandemonium. The waitstaff would give me confused glares, rush to and from the kitchen in a desperate attempt to sort out the situation, then eventually tell me: my wish, they could not heed. In the end, I gave up my satay veggie dream and left it at the door when I walked in to Han’s. I was understandably tentative about attempting to mix and match the menu at Chatter’s but I thought I’d give it a go, and I’m very glad I did. I was able to order one of my own creative concoctions for the same reasonable price — minus the drama. Maybe the lack of drama is the thing that makes this place contemporary after all.

This is a great place to come before you go to the movies at the Galleria. The food comes out pretty quickly and it stops you from eating naughty chocolates when you watch a movie. A word of warning though, don’t let your friends eat too much garlic as a group of 5 people can quite easily stink out the movies. The portions are large and very tasty, we haven’t had a bad meal here yet!

Chatters. End of review. That’s really all I need to write. There is not a bad thing that can be said about Chatters. Amazing décor with an oriental inspiration. Minimalism at it’s best. Wait staff who not only know the menu back and front, but who actually cater to your needs and are experts in making every meal at Chatters an experience. One night I went there we were in such a rush, we told our lovely waiter, and the food was on the table within 15 minutes. The food. Oh, my dearies, the food speaks for itself. Salivation was peaking when we saw the deep fried prawns and gado-gado, two of the dishes I would recommend to anyone planning a trip there. Finally, the price… We had three main courses, an entrée, rice and drinks and the bill came to $ 60 for two. How can you actually go wrong?
