Windows On The Bay

So I bought my first Groupon, and it was for here.
I really enjoyed the meal, the view was fantastic once we figured out how to get to the restaurant.
The food was delicious. Filled with flavour and cooked perfectly. It was a set menu and I wish I could remember what I had eaten. But great none the less

We have been meaning to try Windows on the Bay for quite some time, due to the great location overlooking the bay. I must add the disclaimer that we used a Scoopon (3 courses and a bottle of wine) for our visit, so perhaps a number of things were affected by that.
To start with, we had the Canadian scallops and the Wagyu carpaccio. The other half remarked that the scallops tasted like they were frozen and my carpaccio was a bit ‘meh’. Next, we had the duo of beef and twice cooked pork belly. I thought the pork belly was quite tasty, but it was dry. The beef was requested as rare but was more like a clear medium. Our desserts were lovely however, with the «opera» and a layered cake with passionfruit mousse.
Service seemed a little awkward, but I always feel like it is when vouchers are used.
If the Scoopon menu was any indication, I feel like the food at Windows on the Bay was a bit all-​over-​the-​place. We really wanted to like it, as we want to support our local establishments but we won’t likely return any time soon.
