A while ago, at our old house we are renovating for rental, we had a «little» accident and cracked the shower enclosure glass. Now that we are renovating, I called around to see about getting the glass replaced.
Peter and his staff at CBD asked a few questions and then, based on my answers, told me that the style of glass I had was so old, it wasn’t available any more. We discussed replacing the broken panel and 3 sliding doors with clear glass, when he suggested that I might just want to replace the whole shebang rather than repair my old one. «It’ll actually be cheaper, because the labor on all the individual panel and door remove/​replace/​reinstalls would end up costing a lot,» he explained.
He gave me a $ 650-​$ 700 ball park estimate and came out to measure the space. We settled on a nice, new silver-​chrome model for $ 640 installed. I called him 2 – 3 weeks later when I was ready and set up the appointment for the install. It all went without a hitch and the shower looks wayyyyyyy better than if I had tried to do a repair.
CBD did a great job, the finished product far exceeds my expectations and they did a super job of calling to confirm appointments and communicating with me. I’m pretty sure they cover most, if not all of Adelaide. If you are getting windows or other glass work, you should definitely get a bid from these folks. I’m pretty fussy and I couldn’t be happier with the job they did for me – both-​work wise and price-​wise.
Guess I’ll have to start showering again now!
