i had a co-worker take me for the legendary pork roll from here. roast pork with crackling & the usual banh mi fillings with carrot, cucumber, spring onion, pâté & coriander. coriander tastes like soap. soapy poison. they added gravy, which i thought was strange, but i went with it. the baguette was nice and fresh, crunchy with a soft filling. obviously it helps being a bakery. the pork was delicious and the crackling was sensational. for $ 6, it’s a pretty decent lunch. ran into two other co-workers who were also stuffing their faces with pork rolls. my lunch date purchased a chicken dim sum, which was apparently very good. parking is a bit of a gamble in front, but if you go behind the store, there’s a large safeway car park for your pleasure. whatever that may be.
