Lamont’s Winery, Restaurant & Gallery

Had the best time there last Sunday. I was on a Swan Valley tour for my friends 40^th so may have had one or two (or go on 3 or 4) by the time we got there but we had a large group of 22 that were made to feel soo welcome.
My friend had booked in advance for wine tasting and we were charged $ 10 per person for tasting which was pretty reasonable. The manager came out and gave us the funniest spiel about the wines and we were then left to help ourselves. We had a ball. There was more than enough wine to taste. A really fun afternoon. Tip try the triple Brie with honey! Yummy!

Lamont’s is lovely. We attended their Aussie Day BBQ lunch. It was beautiful, well organized and just perfect. The food was delish, plentiful and used lovely fresh local ingredients. The fig salad was Devine! I recommend and loved their Winemakers choice 2014 Riesling. This place is seriously gorgeous. The wines are beautiful and the setting is both picturesque and peaceful (even with a healthy crowd and busy vibe). Beautiful grapevines line your drive in and the venue itself is nestled amongst trees. There are plenty of lovely shady spots outside to sit at tables. There is also several inside tables with lovely cool air conditioning! Give it a try! It is kind of tucked away in a lovely almost secret spot the swan valley! Well worth the drive I say! Give it a try, call first just to check for opening/​serving times and options for the best experience and so you are not disappointed. Lovely, lovely experience! We will be returning! Oh and we got the best tip for trying their wines! (Im paraphrasing a bit) ‘taste the wine with your mouth not your head’ so good!
