The Workshop Auto Service Centre

Found these guys after a door knocking promo in my area. Have to say they were professional, courteous and fair from my experience. I will be heading back next month so fingers crossed they keep up the good work. Being a woman being able to trust your mechanic is a big deal!

I’ve been going to The Workshop for a couple years now and have to give them full marks for their service, friendliness and honesty. As a woman taking her car in for service, you worry that people will try to take advantage of you. The guys here have always been great, explaining everything well and relaying any issues honestly. Just today, they quoted me one price for shocks and then realised after looking to order them, that they were much more expensive. When I said it was too much for now, they offered to honour the previous price because it was their mistake. I said OK and to go ahead. When I went to pick up my car, they said that once in there to change the parts, they realised it was actually a much simpler issue — a cheap broken part — and therefore didn’t need the shocks. They could have easily still changed the shocks and charged me the $ 600 but they did not, instead it was about $ 20.
I’ll keep going back, even if it is a little more pricey. Definitely worth it and they’re an honest business which I’m happy to support.

Had a voucher from Scoopon for a full service and wash for $ 40. Ended up charging my partner over $ 150 (on top of that) since «fluids are not included in the price». So we ended up paying more than the service would have costed without the voucher. They also did not clean the inside if the car (still had dust everywhere). Pathetic service and will never go back again. Stay away!
