Toot Toot all aboard the sushi train. When it comes to Tomodachi do the sushi train or go elsewhere because everything else on the menu is just ordinary things you can find in other restaurants. Except maybe the Green Tea Crème Brulee. Yum. Keep an eye out for their sushi train specials because they change from time to time, I liked it when they had half price Tuesdays, but unfortunately that’s long gone.

I usually avoid eating at restaurants or food joints that are situated inside shopping centres. Located on level 3 of Melbourne Central, nearest entrance at the corner of Swanston and Lonsdale Street, Tomodachi is an exception to that rule.
You can either choose to eat at the sushi train (which is pretty cool) or you can grab a booth if you want to have a more private affair with friends. The food is very fresh and way better than the standard fare you get in the million and one fast food style sushi places.
I haven’t been here for a while but I really hope they are keeping up the same standards that had me eating here very regular when I was spending more time in the city.
The standout dish I remember was the octopus, it was so moreish. Get on board the sushi train!
