Buzzy little laneway bar with a good vibe. Popped in for some quiet drinks and the service has been great. Really classic fitout and some great tunes. They’ve got some great modern European dishes and a real cool mezzanine. They also have a collection of soft cheeses on the counter that look killer but hey, I’m not made of money. Would love to come back for a meal sometime

Came in the late afternoon, and while the food all sounded great, we were just there for a drink and were very impressed with the atmosphere, the lay-out, and the drink menu in general. I chose a delicious Italian Tempranillo, and my partner a German beer, and we sat on the stools by the window looking out at some of Melbourne’s great laneway culture going past, though we would have been equally happy on the heated patio outside, or the half-ring of lounges overlooking the bar. Will be back for sure.

Any time of the day, Neapoli delivers. It’s my favourite local where the people are friendly and you can always get a seat. Though my favourite spot is up at the bar/bench

There you go, breaking my big ol’ heart again. The menu said Padron peppers. My mind conjured images of naked Adriana Limas cavorting around a skillet fillet with juicy green peppers dry-drying amidst liberal handfuls of possibly Himalayan rock salt. Yes my good man, I am ready to order and I shall have… the Padron peppers! They’re — they’re out of season? But… but! «Look Lisa, if you pause the video you can see the actual moment Ralph’s heart breaks in two.» I went with the Cuban, a smoked pork version of a Reuben, and it was boy howdy get up in the business good, with lotsa sauce, vibrant crunchy pickles, mustard and a buttery charred residue on your hands after that let you know you just did something important. Oh and the service from the dude with the shaved head and piercings and waxed mustache was A grade, he was a champ. Can’t stop thinking about those Padrons though.

I really like Neapoli. For breakfast, morning tea, an afternoon green juice or glasses of wine while snacking on the likes of chicken liver parfait(only $ 7!) or the formidable 6-point club sandwich. Neapoli does an exceptional job of having a little bit of everything for everyone while still maintaining a very high level of quality and good service. The menu is diverse and can even cater to allergies and all manner of fad diets. On a sunny day sit out on the patio and on colder days head upstairs to the lounge overlooking the bar.

This place is cute! Popped in after dinner for a quick dessert, they have a few different soufflé options and amazing gelati. I noticed the menu looked really yummy too so will definitely go back, sharing plates and other delicious looking items that I’d like to try. It is tucked away down a lane, nice feel and really cosy.

The décor and location was for me a must visit place, as I have ventured down this alley way a few times, walked passed and seen this place! One day finally had time to venture in and grab a coffee! Unfortunately this wasn’t a very nice coffee, orders a long macchiato and it just wasn’t up to standard! It’s upsetting as the place looks lovely, the machine used looks great as if it would make amazing coffee. But left with disappointment and had to rectify with another coffee elsewhere!

Swooped into Con Christopoulos’s Neapoli on my quest for Melbourne’s best Reuben and was taken back by how über cool the setup and décor of this place was… Upstairs — it resembles a scene from a Mad Men bar with rustic leather couches and chairs, long slick wooden tables, suited up professionals and a view onto the huge windows that make up the entire front wall of this establishment. Downstairs you have premium 60’s diner style surroundings with a plush bar and alfresco seating out the front. I can’t believe I have never come across this place — perhaps because like so many of Melbourne’s gems it’s tucked away from the bourgeoisie. Our hipster waiter ushered over quickly to take our order and we asked for The Reuben. It comes out on an elongated platter with a side of pickled zucchini and cucumbers in a small tumbler jar. Dark rye lightly smeared with butter and an excellent ratio of pastrami to sauerkraut on the bottom — melted in with swiss Sensational Reuben served in a tantalizing environment that would make Don Draper feel as if he were chowing down on Madison Ave. 5⁄5 for this joint! — No complaints from this Unilocaler.

BRILLIANT! It ticks all the right boxes for me. Cool looking from the outside, hot and relaxed staff, excellent interior(80’s primary school mixed with 50’s boardroom above a 40’s diner WTF!) and the menu is FANTASTIC. Order every salad there, the meat mezze is mouth watering, the zucchini flowers are big and they do not go skint on the portions — its a great place to go with a group of 5 or so friends. Date place? Hell yes. Look cool by taking your lucky date here and grabbing a seat upstairs.

Popped in for a quick bite on a Wednesday night. The service was great, and they were very helpful with providing a gluten-free menu. The food was the great, the chilli was so smooth & creamy, and definitely not too spicy. Come to think of it, I don’t remember it having any kick at all. Very tasty though. We sat outside the front, not much of a view though as it is a typical Melbourne«hidden bar».
