Great food, not heavy or oily. Best dumplings ever. Shall recommend as excellent value. Helpful waitress.

Dear fellow Chasian aficionados I must admit I am tentative to post this review however the need to share my knowledge of the most delicious Szechuan dumplings overrides my desire for this tucked away restaurant to remain secret. Blue Sky does not stand on the doorstep trying to hawk customers, instead you must head past the crowded, obvious,(over rated?) establishments and slip down the dark alley of Waratah place. An unassuming doorway opens into the restaurant where it becomes apparent the name Blue Sky earns its name from the colourfully gaudy«under the sea» themed ceiling mural. If the handwritten Chinese menus tacked on the walls are too daunting, flick through the menu and try a crispy meat/rice combo(the lemongrass chicken on rice can be overly glutinous) and a side of Asian greens, yum. Blue Sky virgins should not leave without trying the fried pork dumplings and steamed Szechuan dumplings that come with a bizarre sweet, spicy chilli sauce that is to die for.($ 7.50). Service is ok but with mains around $ 9 and cheap corkage you get what you pay for.
