Friendly service and convenient location. A comfortable, value for money option. Have used on numerous occasions.

I stayed here once prior to moving to Melbs and on one of those occasions when my fave hotels were booked out. This was central, it was cheap, it had a room. Perfect. NOT!
It was mid winter hence freezing cold, and the heater in our room didn’t work. We told the reception boy (he honestly looked about 13), who said he would look into it and have it fixed by the time we got back.
At 3am on our return our room was frickn freezing, the heater/​deep freezer had been left on but not fixed. By 4:30am when the poor guy still couldn’t solve the problem we told him not to worry about it. We turned it off and froze our asses off for the rest of the night.
Shit room, freezing cold, took them ages to check us in and they couldn’t even offer us a friggin little blow heater as some form of comfort. Redeeming factors were that they gave us our $ 50 deposit back when we checked in (by accident of course, but we figured it was their mistake to fix not ours), and then proceeded to give it back to us the next day.
We didn’t say anything because we figured we were owed $ 50 in freezing cold compensation. Needless to say, it was a stay we only tried out once.
Didn’t try the breakfast restaurant, lunch and dinner café, bar or gaming room/​bottle shop, but hopefully they’re all better that the accom side.

lunch: 11.00am — 4.00pm and dinner: 6.00pm-10.00pm daily.
5 Shilling Cocktail Bar open daily: 11am — 11pm
Platform 66 Bar, Gaming Room and Bottleshop open daily: 8am-​3am
